Extremely small room. Actually the hotel rooms in Tokyo are larger. Very boring area around as this is the business district of Lisbon. Traveled during the pandemic so got an early check in which was nice. At check out I asked if it was possible to keep the room for 2 hours, complimentary. I was sure there was no provlem about this since the hotel was nearly empty. But I was very surprised to hear that there was a fee involved. Surely they could have accomodated me did they want to. Check in agent seemed bored, was on his phone every time I approached and didnt even noticed cusyomers coming until they had to speak up.
Right by a metro stop so great location if you don't want the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Easy access from the airport. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants nearby and the staff helpfull.
The hotel is well located for a stay in Lisbon. Not right in the centre but close enough. The rooms are very clean and kept very clean. The staff are very helpful and will assist in every way they can. All with AC Alif is also close to a shopping center and the tourist tour bus route. Taxis pass the front door so no issue to get anywhere. I would happily stay there again.
If you are flying in to Lisbon and plan to spend some time there, then Hotel Alif Avenidas is a great place to stay, mainly because of its location. You can catch the Metro “Red Line” at Lisbon Airport. In 20 minutes, you will be at the far end of the Red Line, at São Sebastião. If you find the exit on Av. Duque de Ávila, you will come out of the metro just across the street from the hotel entrance. Then if you want to “go into town”, you can catch the “Blue Line” and be in “downtown Lisbon” in 15 minutes. The hotel itself is fine. It looks new. The staff are pleasant. Everything works. Good WiFi. An amazing selection of TV channels. The bathroom is outstanding. And the price was a bargain. At first glance, the neighborhood does not seem like a good place for visitors but a little exploration will give you 20 or more restaurants within easy walking distance. I stumbled upon “Al Caparra”, a little restaurant tucked away on a side street, and enjoyed an excellent Tapas meal. The hotel will sell you breakfast or you can go to the little coffee-shop across the street. There are several small Mercados within easy walking distance.…
I saw many hotel guests standing at their room windows smoking like chimneys. The smell gets inside the rooms so they must know people are doing this. So if you’re looking for a non-smoking hotel then this is not a good choice.
