Detailed Reviews
This hotel is really good, the rooms are big and their breakfast is delicious. It is located very close to the airport and to a tube station and their staff is always helpful. But they do not inform you about different prices at the restaurant during Christmas time. We tried to have dinner there and discovered that they charge 30 euros per person during this time of the year. I do not know if you think this is expensive, but you must agree that they should have informed when I booked, especially for january, 1st when everywhere else is closed.

Hotel Roma is in a wonderful location, about a block from the Roma subway station & across the street from the train station. It’s not in a touristy area, so there are numerous small restaurants & stores nearby. (Nice supermarket is less than a block away. We had a refrigerator in our room, so it was convenient to buy some fruit & drinks.)
The staff is all very helpful & friendly. We arrived at the hotel around noon, never expecting to be given a room, but a quiet one on the 10th floor was available.
Judith at the front desk was wonderful-I explained that I was a light sleeper & she assured me she had the perfect room. (Ask for a room at the back if noise bothers you. You give up the potential of having a balcony but the quiet more than made up for that.)
Our room was small but adequate. Water pressure wasn’t great, but tons of super hot water was available. The mattress was comfortable & there were plenty of pillows.
The hotel is very clean, the bar is a great, inexpensive place to relax & have a drink, & the gift shop has a nice selection & competitive pricing.
Don’t let the outside appearance fool you. It looks a little run down, but inside, everything is nice.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My room was in the 1st floor in the middle so although l heard the odd swooshing noise of a train now and then it was overall really quiet. Super clean and the staff l spoke to were polite and pleasant. Breakfast was great a good selection of cold foods, breads and pastries. The hotel is about 100m from the Roma metro and the same distance from the station which gets you direct to Sinatra in about 40 minutes. The area has loads of small cafes etc and the bullring is about 10 minutes away and there is s shopping centre under it. lf l return to Lisbon l would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Metro very close so get a zapping via vigrem card works out really cheap for all transportation.

+1
First, very close to airport, which makes it cheap to taxi or Uber. Hotel is in the business district so it’s fairly quiet at night, except for hearing the train, which I kind of like. Rooms are old fashioned, and on the smaller side. Staff was very friendly. Lobby is nice and bright. We liked having a nice bar and restaurant on premises.
Breakfast is nice, but it’s a mad house in the mornings. This hotel has four small elevators, which rude guests try to force themselves onto with luggage when they’re already full. During our stay, one of the main, bigger elevators remained broken. Since we were on the 9th floor, we had to wait longer to go up or down. I highly recommend you request a room no higher than the 2nd floor if you don’t want to wait.
Wi-Fi here is terrible. Our phones would not stay connected and trying to do anything online was beyond frustrating.
We very much liked the location. Close to the metro, close to a grocery store, lots of coffee shops in close proximity. Very easy to get to downtown Lisbon. If we were to Lisbon, we would definitely consider staying here again, however I would search for a good deal on a more up to date hotel closer to city center if you don’t want to take multiple train stops.

The hotel was a short walk from the metro and we were able to leave our luggage securely there before we could check in so that we could go sight seeing straight away. We also left our luggage on the last day after check out as we didn't have a flight until quite late.
It was also close to the train station.
Room was fine, clean and comfortable with a fridge, hairdryer and TV but no kettle.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Breakfast had a good variety. Fruit, yogurts, pastries, cereals, juices, small amount of cooked and tea and coffee. Just one toaster available.
Staff were just a bit slow on keeping plates and cutlery available.
The lobby was clean and comfortable with a shop selling souvenirs. I'm not sure what else as didn't go in.

The hotel appears very shabby from the outside and badly in need of a paint. It is in a very busy area with access to suburban and regional trains. However, there did not seem to be a lot of eating options nearby.
Ticket machines at the underground station did not have English translation and there was no one to assist, so we had to resort to a taxi to get to the city. We were told it would cost 7 euro but the driver we flagged wanted 16 euro, then refused to give change from a 20 euro note!
The lift to access the upper floors is very small. Our room had no view, two single beds, a desk and chair, an armchair, fridge, luggage rack, reverse cycle A/C, large wardrobe with safe. A small TV had access to about 200 channels! There were also two spare power points.
The bathroom had a shower over the bath, clothes line, hair dryer and bidet but there did not seem to be a spare power point.
Breakfast had only scrambled eggs, baked beans and mushrooms as hot food options, with cold meats, cheeses, pastries, cereals and toast.

Nice hotel and the room was very good. Clean, tidy and spacious. Had all the things you’d expect, tv, fridge, safe, bath etc.
Breakfast was excellent, continental with a massive variety of everything!!! Cold meats, cheeses, sausage/bacon, scrambled egg, cakes/pastries/breads, fruits, cereals, tea/coffee and juices. Something for everyone.
Reasonable location, 2 minutes from the metro and all the main attractions are easily accessible from there.
I’d definitely stop there again.

Hotel building is old looking, as the interior rooms and bathrooms, but generally it is clean and sufficient for a short-term stay. The green metro line is very close and it takes you up to the city center, by the river side. There are some active streets nearby the hotel for dining and shopping. The breakfast was better than expected but the breakfast room downstairs was always crowded. Overall, it meets your expectations for an average stay with a limited budget nearby the city center.

I booked online on my phone to stay here after landing at the airport. I booked at about 2pm and arrived at 3pm, to discover I had booked for the following weekend by mistake. The hotel refused to let me change the booking, so I could stay that evening, and instead made me pay for another room at full price. They said they would have to keep the €190 I had already paid for the room for the following weekend, as it was non-refundable and there was nothing they could do about it. Really shocking experience and I would avoid this hotel. The walls are also incredibly thin and lack soundproofing, as another reviewer has said, so I was woken up by the cleaners

Hotel Roma is not bad for a couple of nights. It's convenient to public transpiration, Rossio stop and you can take it to Roma and you'll be in town where you can eat and shop. The rooms are clean and decent. They have a decent breakfast buffet as well and mini pastel de nate's in case you love them, they come in mini form here at this hotel.

Greetings,
Full Board includes Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Kind Regards,
Hi,
There is an outside parking but only for 10 cars and it cost 10 euros i think.
I recommand you the roma parking which is the nearest secure parking 24/24. Like 300 to 400 meters walking from the hotel on the same avenue. Hope that it will help you.
Nearby area, not in the hotel
I didn’t have it in mine
