Quite far from the interesting areas and a bit old already. Definitely is not a 4 star and more like a 3 star. Very noisy as windows are not soundproof and the double bed could be 1.5 meters wide only , far too narrow for two people . Maintenance was not at his best as doors inside the room could not be closed . Very noisy inside too and you get woke up with any door being closed along the corridor . Not recommended for light sleepers . Better look for closer hotel to the touristic area . There is nothing around it . Staff nice and pleasent .

We spent four nights here and enjoyed our stay but it wasn't as good as we were expecting. Check-in went well. We had a room on the 9th floor. Masks have to be worn inside the building. Our room was nice with a fair amount of room, but not much in the way of storage. We had a view of the roundabout outside the hotel. The bed was comfy enough and housekeeping came in everyday which was great. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower good. So that was all good. Downstairs the bar in the evening was pretty souless and dead, no atmosphere, hardly anyone drinking there. So we didn't stay. The hotel pool, which was the main reason we booked here, was on the roof. It was quite small, but nice to lie beside. I always got a sunbed, even though it was quite a small area. It was okay, but no poolside bar. You could order food and drink by phoning down but it came all the way from downstairs. Not quite ideal. Also, the location was not all that great. It was closer to the airport than the centre of Lisbon. It was a ten minute walk to the nearest underground station and then about a 20 minute journey to get in to the centre of Lisbon. We Ubered back each evening. But it's something to factor in - if you don't want the hassle of the travel, maybe find somewhere else.

We visited for a long weekend and stayed at the HI Lisbon. It was easy to find the hotel, conveniently located between 2 metro stations and accessible from the airport in 25 minutes. The reception service was prompt and of a very standard, Excellent, friendly customer service. The room was also very good, clean and had all the necessary amenities. There was no kettle but this was provided on request. The only minor issue was that the TV reception was very bad. Breakfast was superb, cannot fault that. The highlight was the rooftop pool and sunbathing area! Lady on reception who I think was called Sandra was worth a shout out. Her service was brilliant!

Overall we were disappointed because the roof top bar was closed all throughout our stay, we were really looking forward to relaxing by the pool with our toddler son especially in the evenings. We also found alot of dust under our bed in room 514 on our last day when our son dropped his toy under the bed. It looked like it wasnt cleaned for months, we didnt have a kettle with tea or coffee in the room we had to ask for it. We arrived very late evening and thought that we would at least have water in our room but we called downstairs they said we had to come and collect it from the bar. I think as a standard a hotel room should some water in the room when you arrive. We also came in to an empty fridge but usually they have a minibar at hotels.

Responded Sep 29, 2021
Dear E1159IRmarinat, Thank you for choosing Holiday Inn Lisbon and for sharing your experience with me. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused by the dust underneath the bed, the closure of our pool area and that there was no kettle in the room. This is not what we want any of our guests to encounter. We will investigate this further with our team. It is very important for us that all our guests have a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, as we strive to maintain a high quality standard of service at all times. I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future. Best Regards, Ben W. Case Manager IHGService
