Hotel located on the green metro line at the Anjos stop. Outlying downtown but easily accessible. Easily accessible also from the airport about 20min by metro. The hotel itself is very clean the rooms also, bedding and clean and comfortable linen. Design room, quite modern. Flats: Damaged bathroom furniture. Very noisy air conditioning. It was necessary to claim and go down to the reception with proof that we were entitled to 1 capsule of coffee per day in the room in superior room. The room on the 7th and top floor with a beautiful view of the rooftops but also of a disused building just opposite in pitiful condition is really not great for a 4* hotel. The neighborhood is not very well attended in the evening, downstairs from the hotel it smokes pot galore. A restaurant nearby to advise you "the Polpeta" or a little further by tram "estrela d'ouro" totally typical. Basic welcome without more. Decent breakfast but brick juice, and it lacks local specialties. The restaurant is too expensive we did not try it and preferred to eat out. We will not return to this hotel.

The hotel itself was very clean, modern and tidy and considering we were on the main road, it was pretty quiet. We walked into the city centre but this was quite a trek. To get a taxi you would be looking at around €10 each way.
The terrace area out front was closed due to windows being replaced in the building. Our room was one of the rooms that needed replacing which was an inconvenience.
Breakfast was good with a range of choice between hot and cold options. On our last night we decided to have dinner in the restaurant. Considering we were the only people in the restaurant, our starter took over an hour to come out and the meat croquettes were still frozen in the middle so they were sent back and the chicken in the chicken curry was tough and inedible.
Disappointed with our stay.

A great hotel but DON'T order a breakfast box; it was without doubt the worst we have ever had. A bottle of water, carton of juice , a bruised apple and 'sandwich' of bread that had gone dry with no butter and a slice of cheese and ham that had stuck together. I'm not a fussy eater but this was inedible and in no way reflected the breakfast we had paid for or been having there.

Wonderful hotel, a very nice surprise. The General Manager, Valerie (sorry if I'm wrong), is very nice. She offered us drinks as well as a 50% voucher for a dinner at the hotel, which we ultimately did not take advantage of because we chose to discover the restaurants of the city, accessible in a few metro stations. The hotel is also very well connected to the airport (taxi or public transport). His team is great, all the staff is friendly. Many thanks to the reception manager, Luis, for the commercial gesture not to charge the second person. The hotel is very clean.
However, one small remark about breakfast: I give it a score of 6/10. It lacks variety, with only one chicken meat and the rest being pork, and only one variety of cheese. For 12€, it's a bit expensive.
As head of reception at a luxury hotel in Paris, I still maintain an overall score of 5/5.

Terrible hotel Seen from the outside everything seems ok The rooms are niches, small claustrophobic, the bathroom has no windows that look directly onto the bed The light from the shower falls directly into the room The breakfast buffet was sufficient, but dinner was a real disaster, no choice of dishes: only one main course, a couple of side dishes A strictly overcooked and often inedible pasta

I've just come back from spending 5 days here at this hotel with my friends for a business/pleasure trip, and I had such a wonderful experience here at Czar Lisbon Hotel.
I was majorly impressed with the quality and luxuriousness of the entire hotel and our room, and am shocked in a good way at how cheap/affordable the prices are for what we get. The bed was super comfy, and our room and bathroom were so spacious and beautiful. I love the hotel design all-around.
Breakfast was included in our rate. Overall I was happy with the breakfast mini buffet choice, it's nothing too fancy or big but offers a variety of cereals, hot food, cheese/meats, fruit and pastries.
It's a good location close to lots of little shops and restaurants, and about a 20 min walk or a few mins uber (super cheap) to the more busy part in the centre of Lisbon.
When I next come to Lisbon, I will 100% be staying here at this hotel again.

Czar Lisbon Hotel was great, the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. Hotel was clean and the rooms had a lot of room, beds were extremely comfortable and pillows were very soft and fluffy. Had breakfast there each morning it was always tasty and abundant, with a great choice of different coffees, teas and juices . I would highly recommend them for anyone's stay in Lisbon.

We stayed for a city break to view Lisbon & sights, which is easy to access and navigate from this hotel- near Anjos metro station. Like other reviews; area not the best with a few homeless sleeping, they did not hassle us. This hotel was comfortable, pretty and very accommodating, coffee pods in room and bottled water in fridge. From the desk staff to the waiters and bartenders all were kind, and attentive, we requested they un-corked our wine from the local supermarket, nothing was too much trouble bent over backwards to provide great service. Thank you.

Stayed here for three nights and was very pleased with the hotel. Room had good facilities and was clean and big enough. Restaurant was only open for breakfast and anyone on a dinner package. Even we tried to ask if we could pay extra to save going out after a long drive but was told that facility was not available even the bar was not open!. I felt this was strange as they were cooking anyway for the dinners on the package so we had to go out to another local restaurant which was very good. We had a car so the parking is via a car lift so our car was a medium size SUV and was extremely tight fit and the parking bays were very small. Luckily my wife directed me into the lift but would be difficult by myself. Staff were very helpful in every detail and nothing was too much trouble. The location is on a busy road which takes around 30 min to walk into the centre or a €5.00 taxi ride. Overall very happy but disappointed that we could not get food or a drink in the evening.
