Wonderful surprise - so close to everything - great bar and restaurant - wanted to move in. The shower is amazing. Go up to the rooftop and you will have an amazing view of Lisbon. Waterfront is right near by, more restaurants than time to visit them, plenty of shopping, and close to plazas to get tours, taxis, and buses.

Very nice hotel with warm and inspiring atmosphere. Yummi breakfast with almost everything for any desire, in a cozy breakfastroom. Superb staff, very friendly, both the staff in the reception, bar/restaurant and the cleaners. Our room was a golden painted one. Very quiet and comfortable. Clean , cool and with character. Located right in the middle of everything in cool... More

Soooo central! Clean tidy and amazing, will defiantly stay again. Love the bath! Excellent price, worth every cent. Great service, funky bar and reception. Looked after our bags for the day after checkout so we could continue to see Lisbon.

This was such a great find. It's an art hotel and it's modern in it's design, but it was extremely clean, the staff were very helpful, the studio room was almost like a one-bed apartment, the breakfast is great and it's in a perfect central location for everything! We felt very safe in the hotel, we had a kitchenette and... More

Stayed for 3 nights in june. Apartments in brilliant location, very central. Many restaurants and bars nearby, felt very safe. Staff were helpful. Reception decor was cool, as was the rest of the shared areas. Our room was very clean and had convenient kitchen with table and chairs. Only disappointment was the bed...not the most comfortable. Unfortunately didn't get to... More

Stayed here for one night in June. Room was fine although they are all decorated differently and ours was quite dark, and not to my taste but still nothing to complain about. Small kitchenette as well, handy for preping some lunch or breakfast, or you could go to the cafe downstairs. We didn't so can't comment on the food. Location... More

This place is two bedroom apartment and located in the City Center area. It was very secure, clean, quiet, and the staff bent over backwards to help me with an issue I had (My debit card had been skimmed while still in the States). The property has a great rooftop area with awesome views of the Cathedral, the Castle, and... More

Pros- amazing location, decor was fun and well kept room. Friendly staff who were very helpful with directions etc. We didn't pay for breakfast but we had dinner at the restaurant that does the breakfast for the hotel and it was good. Cons. Strong musk sprayed in the room, stain on bedspread, odour from the bathroom vent at times. Would... More

This is an extraordinary hotel in a positive way. Very modern furnished and use of colors and pictures, and with a very friendly and service-minded staff. The location in the heart of Baixa gives all opportunities to sight-seeing and social life, yet the nights are quiet. Only a short walk to the Bairro Alto district, you will experience charming and... More

We were there for 7 nights in June. Staff is extremely helpful and welcoming! The place is centrally located a few minutes from Placa de Comerico. In between Alfama and Baixa districts. The hotel is funky and rooms too. The view from the roof terrace is exceptional, facing Castelo de Sao Jorge, at the end of the day it is... More

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
