Our worst experience was in the evening bar where we we overcharged for two glasses of Douro (11.50 euros each) when the menu offered two choices, one wine at 5.00 euros and the other at 9.50euros...

Our worst experience was in the evening bar where we we overcharged for two glasses of Douro (11.50 euros each) when the menu offered two choices, one wine at 5.00 euros and the other at 9.50euros... The waiter then tried to justify his charge by producing another menu than the one we orders from... None of the waiters seemed confident enough to know what the menu choices were...

Terrific hotel, well located, with very helpful staff, particularly the doormen who are very knowledgeable. The hotel has a big terrace on the 3rd floor, adjacent to a restaurant (Italian, closed on Sundays) and bar... This is a particularly nice place to wind down with a drink after a long day... The hotel also has a room (limited access) on the 19th floor which offers some splendid views of the city... The rooms were splendid and the breakfast was terrific ... Compliments to the restaurant and bar staff who were very polite and efficient...

Nice spa, just a shame it opens only until 19h30 so if you're visiting the city it's difficult to fully enjoy it... Amazing view from the VIP lounge with free soft drinks...
