They welcomed you back as though we were family and had a genuine warmth and passion for their environment... The rooms were airy, comfortable and luxurious and there was not one thing we would have changed...

...It is extremely tasteful and elegant, with plenty of different spaces for guests to relax, beautiful lighting and lots of flowers and nick knacks that make it feel more like a home than a hotel. Our room was very well appointed, with coffee and a free restocked mini bar so you could do coffee or have a beer or glass of wine...

...It was like a big beautiful bed and breakfast without all the doilies :-). I loved the decor, the indian runner duck branding, etc... The beds were comfy and rooms were spacious...

...We were not expecting the unparalleled personalized service we received. It was such a nice surprise as that level of service is so hard to find these days... Every detail of the hotel was perfect and comfortable but the service by the staff was above and beyond any expectation... The day before our stay their staff reached out by WhatsApp to ask about our arrival time and if we needed transportation... Because of the late hour of arrival, they offered to prepare a cheese board to have in our room... The next morning I asked about Sintra and which trains station we should leave from... Within a few minutes the staff surprised me with a printed train schedule and asked if we needed them to book any tickets at any of the palaces... In the blink of an eye, presto the tickets were booked and in my WhatsApp... They sent soup and homemade lemonade to the room... I’ve not experienced this level of personalized serve anywhere in years... We were so surprised by the helpfulness and caring attitude of the staff... I just sent a message to the hotel and within minutes our tickets were in my email, booked online by their staff... She helped me find some old white port we had in Durro Valley and arranged for me to pick it up before leaving Lisbon... Our experience was just message them on WhatsApp and everything was handled... We can’t recommend this special place enough if you want top notch service and a truly exclusive experience...

Out of this world stay in the most fabulous hotel ever, staff who could not do enough for us, landing restaurant bookings where they were full, and with a garden with palm trees like an oasis in the centre of Lisbon in a lovely area which is central yet away from the busy tourist hotspots. Miles and Gail, the owners, have created such an special place which stands out from the usual city five star hotels with a unique mix of style, comfort, staff who genuinely show care for their guests and extra special touches like personally welcoming every guest as they arrive and remembering every like and dislike... "Seamless" is the word I'd use to describe virtually everything -- from checking in, breakfast, dinner, drinks, and checking out... This is an especially good place to stay for vegetarians of vegans... It was also a pleasure to meet Miles and Gail... If I'm ever in Lisbon again, this is the place I will stay...

From the offer of transport to/from the airport to the B&B’s check-in, to dinner and fun bar chats with Marcia, we could not have asked for a better experience... The B&B is located about two blocks away from a vibrant street which grants a quiet residence plus easy access to the bustling city... We were able to walk from the location to a good number of places in the city... The staff assisted us in booking city cycling tours and dinner as well as offered recommendations... They were locally sourced offering delicious vegetarian options and included one fish dish... We look forward to coming back to Lisbon and staying at Palacio Principe Real!...

We stayed four wonderful days at this boutique hotel in February 2023... Every detail in this palace is a feast for eyes... The gardens (and pool: yes I did swim in February) are an oasis as well as the rooms... We had very inventive and delicious healthy breakfasts and supper... There were special touches (a well stocked mini Smeg fridge included in the rate)... There was lots of attention and efficient communication with staff through WhatsApp... I have never felt so pampered and received a special gift at the end of my stay... We felt like we were special invited guests... This hotel was the highlight of my stay in Lisbon!!!!...

My wife and I had a lovely stay at the Palacio Principe in late December 2022... "Seamless" is the word I'd use to describe virtually everything -- from checking in, breakfast, dinner, drinks, and checking out... The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and decorated with whimsical antiques... This is an especially good place to stay for vegetarians of vegans... They've successfully created a cozy vibe that feels like you're staying at the home of a (very wealthy) close friend... If I'm ever in Lisbon again, this is the place I will stay...

This hotel is a lovely former palace, recently beautifully renovated, on a quiet street in Lisbon's trendiest neighborhood. It is perfect: comfortable, contemporary furnishings, beautiful windows and light, delightful dining room, bar and above all, an exquisite garden, patio and swimming pool...

...In a fun part of town but down a side street so quiet... An old building which has been immaculately restored... Staff were uniformly wonderful and helpful... We ate 2 nights at the hotel restaurant which was very well done, home made pasta, great olive oil, nice wine and great waitress... We spoke with the manager and were moved to a cooler room...

We loved our stay at Palacio Principe Real so much. The building itself has been lovingly restored with the most beautiful decor... Every detail has been considered from the exquisite furnishings to the Byredo bath products, top quality bed linen, Dyson hairdryers and little details like pots of fresh cherries or nuts to pick up on your way back to your room... The staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable, giving us fabulous restaurant recommendations and are on hand with local tips... The grounds are a wonderful highlight with a magnificent pool surrounded by trees which provided a welcome oasis from the the heat... Fortuitously our car was delayed and we were treated to a delicious lunch and sent on our way with a very kind and thoughtful bag of treats to enjoy in Comporta...
