We travel 4 months out of the year and this was one of the best hotel stays we have experienced. The hotel room was wonderful and had all amenities (best shower ever). From the moment we walked in, the staff gave us supreme treatment (thank you Federico), explained everything about the hotel, the area around the hotel, restaurant recommendations, and then accompanied us to the room to explain all the features. One of the managers Maria, had made contact after we reserved, and her service was just outstanding. The rooftop restaurant Rossio was just beautiful and the staff was most professional. We will definitely return to this hotel.
It’s a very nice place where I pay €24 for two vodkas but then you find cockroaches in the floor of your bathroom. This doesn’t match the price tag of the hotel or the cleaners of the amenities. Not a place to go back for sure For a drink, for holidays or for a business trip.
The Hotel is located in a central and convenient area of Lisbon. We had 2 rooms, one facing the square and the other facing the side. Upon arrival they had a complimentary small bottle of Port wine in each room as well as some Portuguese pastry called Nata (which was delicious). The rooms were very clean, they had a large free bottle of water every day. The rooms were equipped with everything from bath robes, slippers, iron and board, hair dryer, good quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The rooms were very clean. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, however, we did have brunch every day at a cafe across from the hotel called Fabrica de Nata , which had really good food and surprisingly cheap price wise for what you got (also a very clean place). The staff was extremely helpful, pleasant and genuine. We loved the hotel, it was a great experience.…
Room was large, very comfortable and well-decorated. They thought of everything to make your stay memorable. Great location. Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast with everything one would enjoy eating, and served beautifully. Loved the rooftop area! A perfect place to stay while in Lisbon. Walking distance to nearly everything you could want to see/do including some of the best dining on the plazas.
My wife and I stayed in mid July 2022. The hotel had been recommended by friends. Overall we were delighted with the hotel. It is in the perfect location to explore Lisbon Old Town. There are many other similar quality hotels nearby but they are all a walk up a steep hill from the Old Town and we were grateful not to have to walk that after a day of exploring. It is also worth mentioning how friendly and helpful all the staff were - both at Reception and in the Bar/Restaurant. I would call out Daniel Ramos at Reception and Isabel at Guest Services for being very helpful. We had a room with a small balcony. This is really too small to sit out but we appreciated opening a door and watching the world go by. Room aircon is very good. The rooftop bar and restaurant is a real WOW factor and every bit as nice as the photos on hotel website. Although the hotel has no pool there is a sun terrace on the roof which is great for a relaxing couple of hours in the sun - towels provided. We can't wait to return here.…
We stayed four nights at this hotel in July 2022. It’s perfectly located, and in walking distance of lots of attractions as well as convenient for public transport. There is an excellent roof top bar for a relaxing drink / snack / meal. Breakfast on the rooftop was great. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from booking restaurants for us and arranging a train journey. All staff was excellent - friendly, polite and very helpful.
Excellent location, really helpful and friendly staff and great rooftop gastrobar. The room was bijou [small] but fairly typical for a city centre hotel. The room was nice and very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the room temperature was very pleasant and the air conditioning was excellent [… it was very hot, 40+ degrees celsius outside]. Breakfast on the rooftop was very enjoyable. We had ate in the rooftop gastrobar twice and the food was lovely. The staff were great and very accommodating. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.
I recently planned a private cocktail event at the Rossio Gastrobar on the rooftop of the Altis Avenida Hotel and am BLOWN AWAY by how wonderful of a time we had. First of all, the space itself is amazing. The wrap around balcony offers incredible views of Lisbon from different angles - a fabulous viewpoint for anyone, especially for those who are visiting the city for the first time (as many of our guests were). Beyond the space itself, the experience with the staff was impeccable. Carla (who helped me plan and was on site the day of the party) was extremely helpful, accommodating and worked with me to make the event exactly what I wanted. The wait staff was extremely professional and the drinks were flowing the entire time. The music was on point, and the entire atmosphere was just phenomenal. If you are considering throwing an event in Lisbon, definitely look into this space - you won't regret it!…
Altis is in a great location close enough to walk anywhere you'd want to go! Out of all of the hotels we stayed in during our Portugal trip this was the smallest room, comfortable bed and nice bathroom just smaller. We were upgraded to a lovely city view. Service was great, breakfast was served up on sun terrace which was very nice. We had dinner at the Gastrobar on the rooftop- underwhelming honestly but it also was our last night of holiday and we were pretty tired! Very nice hotel stay overall
The Altis Avenida Hotel is in a excellent location near the city center. The room was quiet, the staff friendly, and efficient. My only complaint is the Wifi - at our room on the 6th floor the signal was weak, frequently disconnected, and entirely unusable. I have a modern mobile phone and tablet, so my devices were not the problem.
