I decided to organize a family breakfast to celebrate my birthday. Altis Belém was an amazing choice. The service was very attentive and despite not having the buffet available due to COVID, we had a great selection of options and everything was really good! The view is also amazing, so definitely it was a wonderful way to start a celebration day!

It has beautiful and calming rooms with exceptional facilities, walking closet and nice big bed and TV. Plenty of electrical gadgets to keep you connecting to the room you are staying. I also had a very nice and quiet balcony facing primarly a quiet car park but with the Lisbin Bridge and Padrão dos Descobrimentos as well as Cristo Rei on the background. Breakfast was plenty and staff attentive and helpful. I enjoyed the roof terrace pool, it was wonderful to swim there looking at Torre de Belem and the sunset. I didn't use the Spa because I was feeling like reading a book andvenjoy the surroundings but it had wonderful aromas coming out of there like cinnamon and jasmine. I'm sure next time I'll give it a try. I really enjoyed all my food at Gastro Bar 38°41 it was delicious both dinner and lunch and the staff there they were just wonderful, the kind of people that make all the difference, very attentive and friendly. I recommend staying here for a calm and tranquil stay next to many iconic monuments and riverside. You can also try fine dinning at the Feitoria restaurant but you have to reserve many days earlier, unfortunately I decided on the eve of arriving to Altis and it was already fully booked.

There is much to like here. The first thing is the extraordinary location, right on the river and next to a marina in the buzzing Belem district. The hotel is very stylish, the staff are generally very friendly and professional, whereas the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The rooftop pool and lounge area is very nice to unwind at the end of a day. However, the pool is very small, so for a swim, the spa indoor pool is much more fit for purpose. Unfortunately, the sauna was closed because of Covid. The breakfast was first rate. There are, however, a few things that can be improved: - upon arrival, after a long flight, it was perhaps not the best welcome to be given a key and just directions without being offered any help with the luggage; - the gym is small and outdated (the treadmills creaked when used), and lacks the equipment to have a decent workout (something one needs after indulging in the excellent Portuguese cuisine and wine!); - the shortage of sockets in the rooms, which makes it difficult to charge multiple devices at the same time. The location of charging points is also a bit bizarre; for instance, there was not a single one near the bed. - as the breakfast is 'to order' only, it would really be helpful to have a menu of everything that is on offer. All in all, though, to be recommended!

we loved this hotel for - its location: we rented a car and the hotel was easy to find and has a parking. Along the river it is just magical, a short taxi drive into Lisbon center (you definitely don't want to drive around in the historic center), walking distance to Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery and Museu Berardo - extremely friendly and efficient front desk. We arrived in the morning, could store our luggage and they called us when our room was ready. They booked a restaurant for dinner in town for us as the hotel restaurant was full, the restaurant they choose was great - modern room with great view on the bridge and the river. Excellent mattress and linen - stunning and unbeatable view from the sun deck - great breakfast as well with impeccable service

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been. The amenities are fantastic, such as infinity pool on the top, spa with indoor pool, bars and restaurants, one of them with 1 Michelin Star. In addition, the breakfast is something you should try before dying. However, this might not happen without the helpful and wonderful staff working in the hotel, say thank you for making my stay so pleasure.
