Lovely hostel. I stayed for almost one week and would have stayed longer if I could have. The hostel has a great atmosphere and super friendly employees. It's clean, the rooms are spacious, the living room is nicely decorated and the entire hostel has a cozy and intimate vibe. Would absolutely recommend!

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights. We had good breakfast and comfortable beds. The showers are fine, just the pressure of the water was not very high. But that is the only thing I would declare. The staff welcomed us very friendly and were available 24h.

I stayed at Shiado Hostel last night and I found the staff to be extremely hospitable. They are conveniently located near a metro station and the lication is in a busy area but away from the Main Street l, so there is less noise at night. The main living area was very comfortable and relaxing. Their bathroom was also very...

We had a blast in this hostel, we only stayed for three nights, but everything was so well organized and the employees are very friendly and fun. It's in the center of Lisbon and the party scene is at walking distance, which was really good. The showers and restrooms were clean and the room was in perfect condition. The whole...

Nice place to stay in a city centre. Good value for money. I recommend it to all who like to be close to the main city's attractions. Friendly atmosphere and very helpful people at the frontdesk. Clean toilets and cozy rooms.

Amenities: -Shower: you have to press a button to activate it and it doesn't last long so your fingers get really sore. - Separate male and female bathrooms but showers only have a curtain so you basically walk out naked to someone brushing their teeth. - Clothes washing 5 euros - Wifi pretty good - No power point if you...

I stayed for just one night, in a room for 4 people, but I had the room for myself. Great location, not that expensive. But I guess the room could be cleaner, as it had used cotton swabs, plastic botles and some plastic wraping on the floor. The room I was in also did not provide individual electric outlets.

It's the third time I come here and I always enjoy it. It's in the very centre of Lisbon but it's not expensive, it's clean, well furnished and the staff very friendly at any time during the day or night! The shared bathroom is very clean as is the kitchen. Will come back again for sure!

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighborhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
