Stayed at the Hans Brinker 3 nights, and had a good experience. Loved the terrace with a cool bar and music. The free breakfast was also awesome. The rooms were a mixed bag. Stayed in one room with my tour group which was not the best but changed rooms for a one night stay by myself and the room was... More

A very nice place with great staff throughout the hostel. The individual room is small, but has the essential that you would need for a nice night of sleep. Just be sure to bring your shampoo and other hygienic products, as the room doesn't have any products. It's location is great and the building has elevator, what is nice when... More

I had a great nights sleep here. The breakfast was amazing too. I only stayed for one night but the location seemed good as I had a short walk to the metro station and lots of friendly advice from the reception staff. I'm not 100% sure there was a working lock on the toilet door though and that's always good... More

I stayed at Hans Brinker with a tour group for 2 nights in a 4 person room with 3 other girls in my group. I stayed an additional night in a single after my group left. I would give this hostel a 3 1/2. Pluses: good sized rooms and bathrooms. They provided towels, which was really nice. Staff seemed friendly.... More

The location is good and the overall appearance is nice. There's a cute terrace and the rooms are pretty decent. The elevator with no door is a little unnerving however. Overall I would recommend this hostel

The Hostel is falling into pieces.. everything is broken starting from the elevator to the shower glass that broke in my friend hands. In the morning the room temperature is about 34 degrees.. almost died inside that oven.

Sorry to read this....you didn't have any luck if the shower glass broke, of course this is something which normally doesn't happen. And yes it can be hot..there are rooms with airconditioning though. Well still hope you enjoyed Lisbon! More

It was a great experience. Even if I where almost all the time away (used Hostel only for sleeping), I felt that it's a perfect hostel taking in consideration the great price. Room was a little hot during night, and I would probably recommend the installation of a few more electrical outlets in room 209. Breakfast was also great, many... More

the only thing i don't like was, the only 2 plugs in my 4 bedroom suite. the rest was excellent, very clean, the breakfast was adequate for the place, wifi works nice, and could have an hairdaryer at least in private bathrooms.

Room was very clean and a great breakfast (cereal, sweets, ham and cheese ect.)! If you don't mind a 15 min walk downhill from the hostel to the older cultural part of town, I would highly suggest! Very clean. No lockers but there is a storage closet!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hans Brinker Hostel Lisbon is a great place to go to if you want to have a fun stay in Lisbon's city centre. Either if you decide to go out or stay in at night, you'll have a good time anyway! We offer cheap beds in basic rooms, perfect for students, backpackers and other young travelers. As we provide over 150 beds, we're also a great hostel to host groups! You can book private rooms as well as a bed in a dormitory (from 4 up to 10 people). We are located in Lisbon's city centre, right next to the Parque Eduardo VII, a great place to hang out with a group of (new) friends in Summer. Bars and restaurants are located around the hostel. If you want to go to the old city centre, it is about a 20 minutes' walk over the big boulevard 'Avenida da Liberdade', or 5-10 minutes by Metro, which is located close to the property. ... more   less
