I travelled to Lisbon with 3 friends, stayed 3 nights and we shared a room for 4. We were out of the hotel all day visiting, so when arrived back we would only have a drink at the bar, take a shower, go to bed, get up for breakfast and leave again. The rooms and shared bathrooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and breakfast was simple but good. One night we stayed at the bar pretty late and socialised with the other guests, it was a blast, they were all very friendly.

We were on the 2nd floor. Clean, shared toilets and showers. Two twin beds. My mattress was extra-firm but I was so jet-lagged, it didn't matter. Good location. There is a bar in this hostel so the partying went on into the early morning hours. Breakfast included cereal, bread with spreads, cheese and deli meat. There is a refrigerator and microwave that guests can use.

Positives: friendly staff, great location and value and a quirky new in old atmosphere...and for older couple who like being around younger folks and fun, a nice spot. Negatives: steep stairs and no lift ( for anyone with mobility issues...good luck)! Noisy at night and some of the younger folks partied all night! Hostel needs to crack down on that. Some light food sold at bar ( they do have alcohol and pop to buy) and a list of recommended groceries and eateries would be helpful. The open area is great only smokers make it stink. WOULD LOVE A BROCHURE ON HISTORY OF BUILDING.
