Edifício da Corte is located on the Street and Calçada do Ferragial, located next to the Fernandina Fence, wall built by D. Fernando in 1373 to account for the reality and growth of the population of the time, since the previous Cerca Moura no longer supported in the post-recapture period. Together, but at the time outside the Wall, hence its Latin name (farrago inis) meaning "field where harvested green cereals are grown." A few centuries later, the area was once the site of the famous Corte Real Palace, one of the most majestic palaces in the history of Lisbon, totally destroyed in the earthquake and tsunami of 1755. It belonged initially to the Corte Real family. He sold it to the Royal House at the time of the infant D. Pedro, later regent of the Kingdom, and finally king D. Pedro II, who lived there until his brother, Afonso VI, was dethroned. It served, from then on, like residence of Infantado.

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!

Loved this apartment. Very cute and modern with so many amenities provided! There was a full sized oven and stovetop, as well as a dishwasher, washer/dryer combo for laundry and a good-sized fridge. The apartment also provided fresh bread in the morning and other foods to make a nice breakfast on your own. The location is also great, very close to many bars and restaurants in the Chiado area, and it has a nice balcony with a great street view. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

The location was great, in a quite street, but close to all the things you want in Lisboa. The overall accommodation was better than I expected, with modern decoration, extremely clean and with everything you need to stay very comfortable in an apartment. For a family, this is one of the best option in Lisboa!

We had a wonderful time in the apartments. The rooms are modern, traditional and clean. The staff were very attentive and helpful throughout the stay. the only issues are the doors to each apartment are only able to be opened by a staff member, the hot water takes about 15 minutes to get hot and the pastries in the morning (although such a nice touch) were not nice in comparison to the amazing pastries available throughout Lisbon. place was amazing though and would reccomened staying here.
