What a charming place in a charming & perfect location. Chiado 44 is an historical building turned into a hotel. We stayed on the 4th floor. Though no elevators the staff was precious to take our luggage up so many steps. Let me say for us every step we took was worth it as we started to feel the vibe of this charming hotel. Our room beautifully small, had a beautiful breathtaking view of the historical buildings nearby & a view of the Rio Tejo. A bonus we had a sparkling wine brought to us which we enjoyed on the balcony during the sunset. Breathtaking. 5 star to the welcome - i think it was Sara. 5 star to the staff, 5 star to the other staff at the welcome desk & just 5 star + to the whole atmosphere. Definitely will return & definitely recommend to friends.

Amazing staff and location! Obrigada! 4 friends, had 2 rooms on the 5th floor. Sara, at the front desk was welcoming and so helpful! She gave us dinner suggestions and was able to set up a cab for us for the day we left. The rooms are cute and the location is absolutely perfect!! There’s a square just down the block, which is a great place to get a glass of wine and watch the trams. The morning we left we walked down the street to a spot for pastases de nata. We stayed two nights. Room had a mini fridge, a kettle, and a bottle of water. Something to be aware of is that there is no elevator. Posted some pictures! Would happily stay again!!

Chiado 44 was absolutely perfect! The location is hard to beat with restaurants and trollies nearby, and the staff was some of the best we've ever encountered. Sara, Morvan, Isabella and others made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in until the minute we left. We were given restaurant recommendations, a restaurant reservation and other helpful tips along the way. Our room was clean and bright with a gorgeous view, but also incredibly dark and quiet once we closed the windows and curtains. We highly recommend Chiado 44!

We stayed here for one night in April. Great location & amazing front desk your woman. She was very helpful & her English was perfect. Our room was pretty small with only a skylight window, but it was VERY clean & bathroom was really nice.

What an amazing find. A brilliant little hotel in a fantastic location in Chiado. Located in a quiet street but minutes away from amazing bars, restaurants and places for breakfast (the hotel does not provide breakfast). Rooms are small, but bright and extremely clean with amazingly comfortable beds and powerful showers. But the best thing about the hotel is it’s staff. Sara, Morvan, Isabella and all the housekeeping staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating- I can safely say that they are the best hotel staff we have ever come across. We were there as a family, celebrating a wedding, an anniversary and a birthday, and were made to feel extra special from start to finish, with a bottle of bubbles and some delicious pastis de nata left in our rooms, with the sweetest of personalised notes. We were given fantastic recommendations for breakfast and dinner, and directed to an amazing rooftop bar that was 3 mins walk away with views over the city and river. I can’t recommend Chiado 44 highly enough!

We had a great stay at Chiado 44 for a mini honeymoon. We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel itself is in a traditional Lisboan building, it is compact, rooms only and no communal/amenity areas (which suited us). Our room was huge, the bed was extremely comfortable, huge bathroom, clean with nice bed linen and towels. WiFi good. The staff we encountered were really friendly and helpful. On arrival, there was a bottle of bubbly in our room to congratulate us on our recent wedding which was a lovely touch. The location is amazing and a great starting point for exploring by foot or tram. Good restaurants and wine bars close by- We found a gem called By The Wine which we would rate highly for fabulous wine and small plates. Price wise it was fairly expensive, but taking all the above into account- I would recommend and would stay again.

Good location but the photos were definitely misleading in that it looks a whole lot nicer than what it is. There’s a sewer smell as soon as you walk into the lobby which is horrid. Black mould in room above door onto balcony also which is a health issue. Staff were friendly enough though.

Great room in a super location, bright and airy, only a short walk to the metro and Baixa-Chiado, Bario Alto. Tram 28 (takes you through Alfama, a must see) runs right by, lost of great local bars and restaurants on your doorstep, yet Rua Horta Seca is reasonably quiet at night, paid a bit extra to have a balcony room. Isabela met us and was helpful and did all she could for us throughout. A bottle of champagne on ice waited for us on arrival which was lovely...it was a Covid delayed honeymoon trip. Obrigado:-)

Chiado44 is in a great location and the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The view from your window is fantastic and easy to enjoy from the balcony. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom equipped with everything you could need. Too bad there’s no way to make coffee to enjoy in the morning without going out.

Stayed here for a weekend with my partner and we absolutely loved it. Very characterful apartments right in the city and within walking distance of most areas. Really reasonably priced and the host was very friendly and helpful. Easy to follow, clear directions to access the apartment sent by WhatsApp prior to our stay. Entry is by code and not key which meant we could access easily as soon as we arrived, despite being delayed by 8 hours on the way there! Bed was one of the comfiest I have ever slept in and had great pillows! Highly recommended.
