Quick walk to the important parts of the town-- eg. the Sanctuary, bus station. Staff is very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to help us. One of my family members needed a wheelchair because of some mobility issues, and the staff kindly provided one for us to use in the town during our entire stay. Rooms are well-kept, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was included, but as other reviewers had mentioned, it was basic: bread, coffee, yogurt, cheese, cold cuts. Free wifi was fast and consistent, no issues. Overall, a good value for visitors to Fatima.
My 2nd visit to Casa das Irmas with a group of 18 - wasn’t disappointed either - rooms spotless and comfortable- food lovely and catered for Gluten free and allergy diets Rooms equipped with tv, bath and shower , hairdryer, air conditioning and toiletries if you needed Will be returning again next year
Visited as part of 26 pilgrims and was impressed by value for money Room had 2 single beds for 2 person and was equipped with necessary essentials Bathroom and room was cleaned every day Food was lovely and they catered for every dietary need Only negative point is not much on offer in bar
Visited for four nights during a pilgrimage. The rooms were comfortable and clean and quiet. The food was basic but well prepared (at home it seemed) and dinner was served in traditional fashion (soup tureens!). Breakfast was simple continental but they sourced G/F rolls for me. The site of this hotel was superb, just a short (more or less level) walk to the shrine. Lovely traditional tiling and a super nostalgic sense of having been an active convent - more than peaceful, there was an air. If you're wanting every mod con it might not suit, but as an adjunct to our spiritual journey it was perfect.
The hotel was very clean, excellent location to walk to town and main events. Close to all the typical tourist shops. ATM machine five minute walk to town on left side of street. They served a basic European breakfast, rolls, cheese, ham, plain yogurt, cereal...nothing exciting. Dinner is served family style and the menus Don't really vary much; They rotate the kind of meat served...fresh salads were great, food was rather bland...local wine with dinner :) Oh yes, in case you are out late...the front bar, serves a mean "hot chocolate " to warm your bones, along with homemade cookies ...Good Experience and the Nuns were very appreciative of us being there, in their home.
