- Non smoking signs are ignored by hotel guests, no one cares - 2 of 10 days the room service didn't show up (no towels, no beds were made) - 10 Euro pp for breakfast, not even close to a continental breakfast - Weak Internet connection, works on the room's outside best
Booked 3 nights only stayed 2 nights for many reasons. If you enjoy a room that is cramped and in need of a good renovation then this is the hotel for you. the hotel lacked all the basic elements of hospitality. Reception was cold and clinical and that was just the staff... the bathroom was a health hazard with mouldy grouting, a dirty bath surround and brown water. the breakfast buffet was uninspiring and cold. Cold egg cold bacon that would accelerate any heart condition and sausages that resembled the buttons on a duffel coat. Everything about the hotel was tired and listless. One exception to all this was Pedro who was helpful charming and the only positive element of the much regretted stay. Thank you Pedro..
The hotel is in a great location. The reception is fine. The room is lovely but the bathroom is a health risk! It stinks of blocked drains has a sound like the wind rushing in and the mould is rampant. When asked to do something about the mouldy smell they emptied a can of smelly deodoriser in the place which stank the whole place out even with the balcony door open . No wonder the door wouldn't remain shut but mysteriously opened unless the door was locked. The pool was good for swimming, lovely and deep, and possibly a healthier place to shower. I don't like leaving negative reviews and other people from our group have said they have lovely room, but the smell is quite overpowering.think of the smell of a wet towel left, for a week, in a damp car with a smelly PE kit. That's the smell in the bathroom…
Great Hotel. Breakfast from 7am - 11am. Check in strictly from 2pm. Departure by 12noon. There is some building work going on next door. Not ideal for those with walking difficulties but an ideal location for those who enjoy walking. A lovely walk along the promenade to a large selection of Tapas Restaurants and cafes. Friendly, helpful staff.
Needed to stay in Estoril for a few days but at the time of year,July, most places are usually booked up or very expensive so we thought we would try the Lido. The price we paid was very good for July. Our bed was very comfortable and there was a small fridge in the room.A/C was fine too. Every room at the front or the rear also has a balcony. The pool area is lovely and was the best part of the hotel for us. There are only a few parking spaces actually on the front hotel property but parking was never a problem in the vicinity. When we booked the room we paid for breakfast too but thought it was a bit of a let down. Not a lot of choice for the price. If staying again would not book breakfast. Overall a solid 3 star hotel and would stay there again
