We stayed here for a week in early May. While the lifts are small they can accommodate 4 people or two with luggage. There is access from the second floor by stairs, but it is not obvious - try going up the stairs from the reception area. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was very good, though sometimes with a crowd it took a while to replenish dishes. The omelettes made to order were great at breakfast.
The staff were very helpful and helped us making the right choice of wine for value as we had no idea of the price charged when asking for a glass of wine and a bottle of water. This may have been with new staff at the beginning of the season.
The rooms were very clean, ours on the second floor while having a floor length window which opened inwards just had a railing and no balcony, overlooking a small courtyard , while facing seawards, no view of the sea. The bathroom had fitted shower gel and no shampoo. There was no extra charge for use of the safe in the room.
There is a rooftop pool with loungers accessed from the reception area or via the emergency stairs with planters.
The walks along the promenade across the road beyond the railway line from the hotel were very convenient and one could walk in either direction, although a short stretch was beside the road before getting to S. Pedro beach, several train stops up the line. The train to Lisbon took about 40 minutes and you paid 50c for the card and €5.25 return to Lisbon.
There were not too many shops or restaurants nearby as this is a more residential area, but plenty in Cascais just 2 train stops down the coast.
I would recommend this hotel as a good place to use as a base.

This hotel is good, but made great by the staff that work there. Every single staff member we had interactions with were so friendly, helpful and kind. Particularly Carla who was on the front desk when we arrived, who explained everything about the hotel to us, answered all our questions and was generally amazing.
The rooms are moderately-sized and have average facilities. Unfortunately the bed was extremely hard, which is the only negative I can think of for our entire stay. We had booked all inclusive and this included breakfast, lunch, dinner, more than substantial snacks and drinks. Every meal, snack or drink was very generously portioned and delicious.
The rooftop pool has lovely views of the ocean and the staff member working at the pool bar was lovely. They put cushioned pads on the sun loungers so you can comfortably stay there all day. I would recommend arriving early to ensure you get a lounger.
The breakfast buffet was great, with lots of choice of fruit, cooked breakfast items, pastries and even an omelette station.
If travelling to Estoril in future, I would definitely stay at this hotel again, mostly for the exceptional staff members.

Just completed a two week stay at the Vila Galé Estoril hotel and as many of the reviews have emphasized, it is the staff that make your experience most enjoyable. The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the single beds were just satisfactory. Rooms with an ocean view are lovely but traffic noise can be disruptive. The breakfast buffet has a good variety of foods.(thank you Mr. Manual Inacio!) The hotel restaurant, Massa Fina, is excellent and we particularly enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Pizza! Again, the staff was wonderful! The hotel location, near the train station, is convenient for travelling to Lisbon, if they aren’t on strike. Walking along the ocean promenade is special.

This is not exactly a cheap hotel, so I did expect better for the price. The room decor looks like something from Wayne Newton era Las Vegas, but worse is the condition: the beds are too firm, with cheap-feeling spring mattresses; the shower wall was not big enough to prevent water from getting all over the bathroom, and it had a leaky seal making an even bigger puddle; the walls have chipped paint and the ceiling has shoddy repairs done.
Outside of the room, the public areas are better... the breakfast is good, and pool is nice, but quite cold, and for some reason the employees keot leaving the bar/cafe area unattended, so it was hard to actually place an order for anything.
The main reasons we booked this were to have close access to the beach and train station, and it served those purposes well. We also appreciated that it was adults only, with no kids running around and making noise! That made the pool a much more enjoyable experience.
But for the price ($200/night), we really expected the room to be better

Our stay would have been fine on it’s own, but one employee made it outstanding. His name is Manuel Inacio and he works in the Dining Room at the hotel there. Not only did Mr. Inacio go out of his way to make sure we had everything while dining in the restaurant, he went way beyond by spending time answering our questions about his beautiful country, Portugal and where he would suggest we visit. He took time to write down places to go and how to get there and was obviously enjoying his job. It is people like Mr. Inacio who are the true ambassadors of any country. The hotel is blessed to have him on board.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in March. The hotel is located across the road from the beach and the railway station and next to the Casino gardens. The hotel is very clean, breakfast was good though the staff struggled to cope when a large group was present one morning. I would say this hotel is more for corporate guests attending meetings in the nearby conference centre rather than for holiday makers. The plus points are : close to beach and station (very frequent trains into Lisbon - get the Navegante card for 10 Euros for train plus all public transport in Lisbon). You can request a kettle for your room. Rooms cleaned every day. Negative points : although centrally located there are not a lot of reasonably priced places to eat nearby though this may change during the summer months. Cascais was much livelier. One of the lifts did not always want to stop at the 7th floor - the staff were aware of the fault with the button. No balconies and we were unable to open the window (though the air conditioning worked well but I prefer fresh air). If I visited the area again I would stay in Cascais which is more of a holiday town rather than a corporate/conference venue (but again, in summer, the vibe may change and the beaches and promenade are fab) but a perfectly acceptable place to stay if you want easy access to Lisbon.

This is definitely not a four star hotel. The staff were not friendly (or helpful) and the rooms lacked basic amenities such as cream, conditioner, no iron, etc (things you would expect from a four star).
Lastly, I left my very expensive headphones in my room (which shows me via the find my device app). When called, they simply said they're not there and made zero effort to check..this is something a shady hotel would do.
I would highly recommend booking another hotel/bed and breakfast in the area. So many other great choices for the cost.

For a four star, this Inn is really nothing exceptional.
The +: Beautiful rooftop swimming pool, fairly full breakfast buffet, location close to the sea, restaurants and amenities.
The - : I asked to change rooms because it wasn't very pretty (it was a little Motel). It had many traces on the walls. I was given a larger room, quite old but nice with a very decent bathroom.
When I asked to change rooms, the person at the front desk repeated several times that she found the room initially allocated very well (she did not see the problem) but that if I really wanted they could show me another one (the one I accepted but anyway, no other available). I didn't dare to tell her (even if the desire was there) that, it seems to me, she's not paying for the room....
Note that there is a nightclub nearby so some rooms are noisy.
We wanted to try the evening buffet...which was honestly not great...too simple with very average flavors (and other customers were also disappointed), we really need to improve this point.
In addition, groups of women sitting next to each other were ultra loud, in canteen mode, impossible to hear each other.
(Italian restaurant not tested).
Some interior parts not very pretty (this is a detail but the elevator was old and tiny), the spa is very small.
At the reception, as explained, one person not very friendly but the other more correct and smiling. Customer service efforts should be made.
In summary, I think all these points should be improved because honestly I will not come back again... sorry. Only the Award is quite correct but I had to pay in full when I arrived at 2:00 in the morning... a little strange.
It is with regret that I give this assessment.

Our bedroom had a shattered glass in the veranda. The food in the hotel was good and breakfast I must say was excellent. Parking was difficult but we got lucky there was one space on the road available, however we were afraid of moving the car and not be able to park again.

The hotel is very convenient for the train to Cascais/Lisbon. Rooms are clean, comfortable and all staff are very well trained. I would absolutely stay with this hotel again. Breakfasts were excellent. Really, really good with a wide choice and well organised. We also had pizzas in the hotel restaurant for dinner...if you love thin crispy based pizzas...you will love them...we did 😋
