We stayed here for 4 nights and were happy to be upgraded to Rose Cottage which is very spacious and nicely decorated. It has a small patio which has a view towards the ocean in the distance. Filtered water, tea bags and cookies are provided. Next to the pool is a building with a well equipped guest kitchen. We used it one night to cook dinner. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of vegetarian foods. A lot of the food was home made like vegetable spreads, granola muesli, freshly baked rolls and muffins and a different type of fruit salad every day. Breakfast is my favourite meal and this was like heaven for me as a vegetarian. The owners provided a lot of useful information on different walks that can be taken in the area and on visiting Sintra. Every morning after breakfast we got a detailed briefing regarding the plans we had for the day and how to optimize them. The owners also recommended restaurants in the area and booked tables. We felt very welcomed at this small B&B and would like to come and visit again once the Covid 19 pandemic is over.

Wonderful place with great hosts that give guests a lot of personal attention. Rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean. The beds are amazing. Waking up amidst the sounds of birds in the middle of the Sintra mountains close to Lisbon and beaches.

What an amazing place - if you're searching for that elusive, perfect get-away break, then look no further - Colina Flora has it all. Spotlessly clean and charming guestrooms, delicious and healthy breakfasts, good location for walking and sightseeing as well as great restaurants in the neighbourhood - sadly it was the wrong time of the year to test the pool but it did look inviting. And then there's James and Aasta - superb hosts who go above and beyond to ensure their guests have the best possible experience during their stay. Nothing is too much trouble. What more can we say - book now, you won't regret it! Linda and Dave Swansea, UK

What can I say...there are not enough superlatives to describe Colina Flora! The glowing reports I had read in previous reviews I found to be true .... and then some! Wonderful rooms, food, location, facitilies and hospitality. I stayed for a week and could happily have stayed much longer. Wonderful area for walking, made easy by the tremendous advice and maps provided by James. Easy regular bus service to Sintra or Cascais, again comprehensively advised on by James. As a solo female traveller, you could not be in a better place. You are immediately made to feel at home and optional evenings out for meals with fellow guests, kindly arranged ( and transported to )by James were a real pleasure. I made some wonderful friendhsips while I was there. Do not miss the Fado evening at Adega Vadia. I can't wait to make a return visit to this amazing bed and breakfast - a title which hardly does it justice. Thank you James, Aasta (and Lucca)

We stayed here for a few days in January and were wonderfully looked after by Aasta and James. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable with lovely touches. Aasta is a brilliant cook and created wonderful breakfasts (that accommodated to all our food intolerances!) We are keen walkers and there were lots of maps and helpful guidance on exploring the local area. We had some delicious meals recommended and booked by our hosts and they offer free shuttles to the local villages. There is also a well equipped kitchen shared by guests if you would prefer to do your own meals. Would definitely recommend!
