The Star Pine Lodge is a little less 'luxurious' than The Lodge (which is about 500m from the Star Pine Lodge) - it's smaller, and has more of a hippie vibe. To be honest, though, that's exactly what I was looking for. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, breakfast/lunch is fresh and abundant, and Susana, our host at the time, really goes the extra mile in caring for your wellbeing. I would definitely recommend going here! Only downside was the weather in Sintra (it was very foggy, but only locally: a 10 min drive took us out of the fog every day), but the Star Pine Lodge staff obviously can't do much about that :-)

My stay at the starpine Lodge was the first stay I had in a Surfcamp. I enjoyed the biking and the climbing with Pierre very much and the surfing for beginners is also very nice. I think for intermediates it is not as satisfying since they focus more on the beginners. Especially Susanna gave the lodge a warmth which made me feel welcome. Overall I would recommend the Surfcamp.

I stayed at the Starpine for a couple of nights in August 2022 and was very welcomed by the staff there.
Ralph was very warm and kind, giving me a tour and explaining all the amenities and activities (of which there are many).
StarPine is well set up, with a kitchen should you wish to cater, but also a great breakfast each morning.
The lodge is quiet at night, so you can rest well ready for the day. I came mainly for the rock climbing- which was wonderful and I only wished I could’ve stayed for longer!
I’m already looking at coming back!

Thanks for everything!

Great guesthouse with charming rooms. Shared kitchen has everything one needs. Close to beaches and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was amazing, especially Susana's porridge.
Yoga classes were the best part of my stay. Really enjoyed them...great instructors.

Place ticks all the boxes and has all you need for a getaway, clean, healthy breakfasts and really great helpful staff.
Really easy and hassle free to organise surf, yoga and MTB from the lodge. Ralph, Susanna and Gonzalo were all full of info. Great surf, cliff walks and MTB trails nearby. Would definitely go back.

Located just a very short walk away from Praia Grande in Colares and furnished friendly, this place is the right one to feel at home even if further away. Enjoy a cup of tea, a piece of fruit or the red wine in your room. The staff is a real treasury - super nice and caring, giving you just the right feeling of being warm welcome and respecting your privacy.

The area around Colares offers a lot to be explored. You can prepare your lunch box at the Star Pine Lodge and join one of the activities at the agenda of the day (your choice, of course). So, just go and find your balance between being active and relaxing at the beach, at the pool or at your mat in the yoga class. Find the peace within you and around you and enjoy this wonderful place. Namaste :-)
