Casa Vela Charm GuestHouse: An oasis of tranquility, set right in middle of the old historic quarter of Cascais…Casa Vela offers you a discrete, sophisticated and unique ambiance. It’s embraced by a real oasis of greenery. The 3.500 square meters of perfectly manicured gardens, waterfalls and lakes, provide an environment of harmony and relaxation. All of the 18 rooms and suites are named after a common theme – The XVI Century Portuguese Discoveries and the Spices brought by the Portuguese sailors from the far East. The names range from Timor, Goa, Mozambique, Macau to Cinnamon, Pepper and Curry. They are all individually styled and decorated with more than a dash of simplicity and grace, inviting you to a homely feel. Centrally located though in a tranquil and calm residential quarter, you’ll find at a walking distance Cascais’s main attractions such as Museums, Marina and Public Gardens. And not to forget that Lisbon is only twenty kilometers away…Built Year: 1947, Last renovated in: 2011, Nr. of rooms: 18, Nr. of floors: 2, Property type: B&B, Hotel class: Guest House

Let's start with the good bit. Good location within 10 minutes walk to the sea of Cascais. Very nice breakfast in a cozy and pretty breakfast place, friendly staff, large double room and the most important thing for us: they are dog friendly and the place allows dogs in any type

This is a little gem of a hotel tucked away in a residential neighborhood yet walking distance to amenities, beach and restaurants. Loved the Cactus room with private patio and view of pool/spa. The kitchenette is a great bonus if you want to make your own breakfast. Only

Only one of our 3 Houses has an elevator. The Modern House. The Old House and Casa Vela Garden don't have a lift. Kind regards Jopão Paulo Freitas

We were at Casa Vela 2 nights only, wish we had been able to stay longer, one of our favorite stays. I believe you can ask for a view of the backyard and it would be delightful. We were off the breakfast area, I don't imagine there is a bad location. Everyone is very nice and helpful with information. Would absolutely stay again!
