This recently renovated boutique hotel in the beautiful region of Cascais is an oasis of tranquility, nestled in beautiful parkland and close to the sea and mins from the old town. The team were super friendly and helpful from the time we arrived until the time we left. The rooms are huge with balconies overlooking the lush gardens. The food and service were outstanding along with the facilities. You also have access to the sister hotel Onyria Quinta Marinha Golf Resort. Joáo and Paulo have a great team behind them in both properties to make your stay very memorable, wether for pleasure or business

My wife and I travelled to the Onyria Boutique Hotel in Cascais Portugal on 10th September for a 2 week break to celebrate my wife's birthday and including 6 games of golf organised by Golfkings in Scotland. What a wonderful break we had, made better by the whole staff plus the hotel environment. The hotel is close to Cascais about a 15 minute drive into the town and only 40 minutes from Lisbon Airport. Firtsly Luiza on reception was amazing, kind, warm-hearted and very efficient. Her smile is infectious and she made my wife's birthday a day to remember with flowers, a special cake at breakfast and Champagne in our villa. She also booked us restaurants when requested and advised us on taxis to the station to go to Lisbon, What a Girl!!!! However she's not the only one all of the breakfast and dinner serving staff were very friendly and helpful, Nuno ,Joao and Filipa in particular. The hotel is very clean and sparkling with excellent facilities. We were allocated a 2 bedroom Villa/Townhouse capable of housing a family easily. Bedroom upstairs with a super shower!!!! and separate bathroom/shower downstairs. A Lounge plus small kitchen with Fridge Freezer and washing machine. We wish we'd have known this before we came as brought too much stuff not expecting washing machine. A small outside space is available with a table and chairs for eating and drinking. The hotel has a large swimming pool area for families and another smaller pool linked to the Spa On site golf was a major draw for us and we were not disappointed. Firstly the club house and starters box is located at The Boutique Hotel and not The Onyria Hotel on the same site!!!! If you stay there you have to walk a fair distance or be buggied. BE Aware!!!. If you want to Golf stay at The Boutique Hotel!!!! The welcome in the club house was excellent and Carlos and Isabel in the starters box were a joy to deal with. The course was in reasonable condition with very fast greens!!!!. It is easily walkable but the cost of 20 Euro for poor quality old electric trollies was disappointing. They have standard pull trollies available but we took a Golf Cart at 50 Euro which seemed better value than 2 of the electric ones!!! Both Onyria Hotels cater for large corporate events meaning lots of business types. However we never felt that we were ignored by the staff at anytime even though they were at times very busy. Very family friendly at all times Onyria Boutique Hotel you should be proud of all of your staff they made our trip very memorable. We'll be back!!!!!

I had the pleasure of spending my birthday at this wonderful hotel, which made my day even more memorable. From the reception staff, who were super helpful, they helped us with the location of the hotel's facilities, with our luggage and accompanied us to our room.
That same day we had the pleasure of visiting the spa, 5-star staff, super attentive, made us feel very comfortable, spa conditions are great, we enjoyed a spectacular afternoon.
Arriving at the room we were speechless, beautiful room, beautiful view, super serene, relaxing, they made a very pleasant surprise by placing petals over the bed. We love it!
Regarding breakfast and bar, staff are super available, always with a smile on their faces, very helpful, very patient, very affectionate. Complete and delicious breakfast, top zero-waste cocktails! We really value this concept!!

Very pleasant stay at Onyria, unfortunately some small details need improvement. Most : Very nice hotel, quiet in a magnificent environment even if you are not a golfer. Large, elegant room with a beautiful bathroom. Beautiful restaurant room Very practical parking in the basement. Indoor swimming pool, practical in winter. Good breakfast buffet, very good breads and varieties of dishes to taste.. The lessers : Cleaning the rooms = late, poorly done, vacuum cleaner NEVER used... Between our arrival and our departure -6 nights- we found pine thorns in the same place on the carpet, every day... crumbs never vacuumed, dust in the bathroom NEVER vacuumed Dust in the hotel corridors, crumbs, “sheep” etc. Marks on the bathroom walls, as if it had been cleaned with a dirty cloth! The noise of the waiters at breakfast = the room is very large and resonates a lot...the waiters spoke constantly among themselves to the point that we heard everything and it became annoying, even if there were very few people there in the restaurant .
Overall positive stay but BIG efforts to be made regarding housekeeping.

Went here as a family of 12. Hotel rooms were very nice and beds comfy. Would have expected more from a 5 star hotel. Had to go down to reception several times to have our room properly cleaned. At that we were met with staff member skitting and telling us rooms are cleaned daily. Our bed hadn’t been changed in 4 days at that stage. On that note, staff were very hit and miss - some were very friendly and went above and beyond. Others were rude and disrespectful. My 9 year old nephew was short changed by €10 at the pool bar. When questioned about this, the staff member involved rolled his eyes and was downright rude. The hotel have staff going around at the pool asking if you would like to try a donut and then arriving down with a bill 5 minutes later for this. Indoor pool costs €5 a day per person, surcharges at breakfast for veggie omelette, avocado toast etc. More like a 3 star hotel with a 5 star price tag. Won’t be back.

My family and i are just back from a wonderful holiday at the Onyria Marinha botique hotel. We were in Caiscais for my sisters family and all my extended family and bride and groom stayed here. We all had a lovely holiday. This hotel is spotless, beautiful interior and rooms are really big and recently renovated, the bathrooms are fab. The villas are great size for families. The best thing about this hotel is their staff from the front desk, through to cleaning staff and staff at the pool bar and the lovely gardener, everyone is so nice and friendly. The staff on every morning at breakfast were so friendly and couldnt do enough for you so attentive. The breakfast is really good so many options and the pancake machine and fresh orange juice were a huge hit with out kids. One of our is kids dairy intolorent so the chef made her pancakes when she wanted them. The kids enjoyed the kids club.
The location is great beautiful surroundings on the golf course..it is abit of a walk to caiscais, prob 30 mins, but we got a taxi from reception or on app bolt only few euro. There is a shuttle bus during day, they should add in an evening drop off to the times i think the guests would appreciate that.
The food is abit pricy in the hotel so they should look at this if they want to attract families to eat more in the hotel, given number of restaurants close by. The food and drink is nice by pool but again abit pricy for young kids, their meals are usually only a few euro for fries and nuggets or pasta, small pizza etc so again something that could be looked at.
Overvall we had a lovely stay and look forward to coming back.

I loved Onyria. We stayed at the Onyria Marinha Boutique Hotel and it was fab. The rooms are specious and well designed, it has a large outdoor family pool but also a really nice sheltered one by the SPA where you can chill all year round really. We had lunch at Onyria Quinta da Marinha Hotel within the same Resort which was also fab. The buffet lunch offers a great selection and really nice wine selection too. The hotel is just 8 min drive from Cascais town centre and it's a extremely easy to get an uber.

We are currently staying at this hotel and I must say it is very average. It doesn’t live up to the standards of a boutique 5 star hotel. The room is great and the huge bed is very comfortable. However, the general standard of service is not good. Toiletries in the room are not replaced and the rooms are cleaned very late even when asked to clean early. There are plenty of staff but they do not seem happy. They seem inconvenienced if you ask for anything and are not friendly. You have to pay extra for drinking water in the room and there is no milk/creamer in the room to go with the coffee. You are only provided 2 capsules per day even in a suite.
The breakfast has been the same every day, with the warm food reminding me of a school canteen. Dirty serving spoons and plastic lids. Again plenty of staff, but they all seem confused and indifferent. No egg chef or options to order anything different from the cold poached eggs and packet mixed scrambled eggs.
The restaurant food in the evening is very good though, as is the wine selection. The spa is small and you have to pay to enter, even if you have paid the extra to have a suite. I did have an amazing massage though. I highly recommend Muriel, she was lovely and gave excellent service.
Much could be done to improve with better service and small details that can really make a big difference to a stay.

Fab family hotel. The deluxe family room was huge … basically two huge interconnecting rooms with lovely large balconies. The pool area was great but the restaurant at the pool needs a lot more tables and a bigger kitchen, we waited over an hour for lunch! But the food was great. We hired bikes each day and cycled along the designated cycle path into Cascais …. Beautiful and safe. Will definitely return.
