Away from main streets of Figueira da Foz you can find this very nice location with a beautiful look to the mare. It is good reachable by car and about ten minutes from the city. A lot of signs helps to find the location and the street is known on Google maps and Apple navigation. There are a lot possibilities for parking, directly next to the rooms. The view over a big blue outside pool and the mare guide you to the restaurant & bar. It got a mediterran flair inside and has got a lot of possibilities to sit outside. The hotel rooms has the same with a small table. The room size is medium with a nice bathroom in same style like the restaurant. We had a good sleep and don't need the air condition feature in October. The included breakfast was good with a fresh made coffee. We will visit again the restaurant and hotel with its very polite and professional staff again!…
We booked this room on Expedia (who I have never had a problem). When we arrived they said we had no room and blamed Expedia. We then showed them our booking. They got us a room down the rood but not nice at all. when we arrived there we found another couple they did the same thing to and they booked through booking .com. It is nice to have your room to arrive to in a foreign country with a different language.
This has to be the strangest place we have ever stayed in , is it an hotel, a motel, a B&B, A bar restaurant with rooms ?, its a little bit of all of them, the location is amazing , four kilometers out of town and set in woodland with spectacular views of the bay and the whole of Figueira Da Foz. It has 10 rooms ,a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the pool and thats it, no normal hotel facilities ,no guest lounge area or normal reception , just the rooms which we found spotlessly clean but not very comfortable for a long stay ( 11 nights ) the bed was very comfortable not much more, only a very tiny picnic table and two folding chairs , nothing else ,no dressing table ,no phone or coffee making facilities, there was a fridge in the bathroom but no plug in the basin despite asking for one to be provided three times. The restaurant food was OK , nothing to rave about but also nothing to complain about ,just ordinary local food , it most certainly could not be compared to the ' Abrigo da Montano ' restaurant 2 kilometers along the road, not even remotely in the same class. The strangest thing of all about Casa Pinha is that when they finish up and close the restaurant at night ,the proprietors just lock the place up and go home !, i shudder to think what would happen if there was any kind of emergency between 11.30 pm and 7 am as after that it is just the 10 guest rooms ,all in two separate blocks , this place is fine if you are just passing through and just want to crash for one night but for a comfortable holiday ?definitely NOT!. Call for reservation one month before the arrival, requested bay view, that was confirmed by the owner "Joao"I'm a native from Figueira da Foz,I left 33 years ago, after 9 years of not visiting this beautiful city I want to comback with my wife for a romantic vacation. The view is great, but when we go to the room not bay view, looking at room that was filthy, smelled bad, rusty everywhere, went back to front desk I expressed my disappointment and want to leave,I was told that the room was pre paid and couldn't be refunded. I saw donkeys by the pool,I assumed that the rooms supost to be for them. For 10 euros more I enjoyed 5 nights in the Figueira's best. Never again!!!
The view and the food made me want to get back to you guys. Regards to you for the time spent. Plus you can take hikers through the woods and the amusement park in the woods.location is situated at an altitude high enough that the view is gorgeous. Mihai Teodor Schampeche and Georgiana Basdeki
We stayed here as a couple with 3 children and with friends. The rooms are lovely and clean and perfectly adequate. Our rooms was cleaned and tidied and beds, which were firm and comfortable, were made every day. Some of the rooms have been refurbished and although ours hadn't yet it was still perfectly good and the air conditioning was excellent. It was also realoy quiet. They have a fridge which was very useful but no tea and coffee making facilities. The pool and pool area is clean and attractive with lovely panoramic views of Figueira as is the restaurant. One or two afternoons the mist rolled in and the amazing views from the pool and restaurant completely disappeared and it was much colder and windier when sitting out in the night than we expected for end of July. The restaurant food is from good to excellent and the waiters Deano and Francisco speak english and work very hard. Wednesdays and Fridays they have entertainment in the restaurant which is very popular and you'd have to book a table for those days. The breakfast is continental of course - the rolls were always fresh, boiled eggs, a cake, cereal, bread for toast, jam, honey, ham and cheese etc. The breakfast set up is a bit awkward where it is when there are a lot of guests and I'm not sure why they don't do it on the table towards the back where access would be easier. You HAVE to have a car. It's too far to walk and taxis seemed to be quite scarce in town. We had several happy days sat by the pool looking at the view. A lot of other guests seemed to only stay for a night or two, using it as a base for exploring. We had a nice time and I would recommend it.…
We arrived in a cloud of rain which unfortunately didn't lift and brought a huge thunder and lightening storm with it. This meant the view was just completely lost on us :( Hugely disappointing but certainly not the owners problem! We stayed on the Romantic package which was really, really, good value. Our room was lovely, all set out with rose petals, bubbles and chocolate. As it was so wet there was a lot of condensation in the room but the heaters were very effective and kept us nice and cosy. Our dinner and drinks were included and I have to say it was really very good food. The quality was high and the flavours very interesting. Our server was really good fun, kept us amused with his stories and was really interested in where we were from and the details of our trip so far. He kept the wine flowing too :) Breakfast was really good the next day, and as soon as the worst of the rain lifted we headed off but we weren't under any pressure to do so. We did get a glimpse of the view before we left and it was amazing! The dramatic dark clouds added to the vista. The rooms, the food, the customer service and the views mean that we will definitely be back here....when its not raining!…
After a long bike ride up the hill to Serra da Boa Viagem we were ecstatic to find the view and stayed extra days to enjoy the peaceful setting, complete with donkeys in the pasture. Although it was too cool to use the pool its presence added to the view. A pre-dinner caiparinha on the terrace was special and dinner in the restaurant was enjoyable, the owner/hostess was very welcoming, the room basic but provided a good sleep in the tranquil countryside; large bathroom.
