We stayed here 1 night with our preschooler. They had no triple room available, but was kind enough to have us share a double room with no extra charge. The breakfast had decent selections and was well attended (they restocked items quickly and cleaned the tables, etc). And the bed was also comfortable. The bathroom was shared with 1 other room, however, did not have the lock in the toilet and shower, which we thought was a bit odd. The light in the toilet was very dim, almost dark, so that was something that we did not enjoy very much. The location is somewhat tricky in both good and bad, because you have to walk uphill for a while, if you have luggage/backpack, it will be quite a journey, however, once you are there, you are at your prime location. Se Vilha is 10 steps away, and Coimbra University is also within 5 minutes (but uphill!). For us personally, we liked the location because we could store our luggage and do more touring around Coimbra without having to hike up the hill again. At the end, we had a decent stay for the price we have paid.

This was a great one-night stay. It is close to many site-seeing opportunities and souvenir shops. Be advised it is quite the uphill hike to get there - but hopefully you already know that this is true of Coimbra in general anyway. The bed was comfy, and the shared bathroom for the private room was large. The hotel main area has a nice bar with snacks and drinks with a tv for entertainment. There is a nice restaurant with free fado music next door as well. Staff was on hand 24 hours for any needs.

My room with bath was very spacious and clean. It was a very quiet room, also. I was there two nights and encountered no problems. The location was excellent, right at the corner of the old cathedral and down a couple of streets from the university.

The hostel is right in front of the old cathedral (se velha), and close to all historical locations. Breakfast was ok. I booked a private room and it was fine, the only "problem" was that the room was on the building right next to the hostel, and the front desk person had to open the door for the building every time i wanted to go in (to then get in my room), which was a little annoying. The front desk staff was very helpful and also called a cab to go to the train station when i checked out.
