A very good value. My wife and I and two friends stayed here for one night in October 2013. The hotel is very centrally located, close to the Coimbra A train station and an easy (well, uphill) walk to old-town and the fascinating "old" (1290) university. What a vibrant college scene, thoroughly enjoyable! The hotel staff let us check in...

Coimbra, a nice student town in the middle of Portugal. Hotel Oslo (what's in a name) is located near train station Coimbra A. So don't make the mistake to walk from the B station.. Simple and affordable hotel, with 60ies music in the elevator. Simple breakfast, wifi, all you need basically! And the lady at the front desk could easily...

We stayed here one night in October as we were driving from Porto to Evora. Easy to find on a Main Street. Parking in front to unload, then they move your car to a garage across the street. Friendly front desk with good service. Our room was not ready so we left our luggage and went for a walk. On...

The hotel is situated round the corner from Coimbra A station. Everything is within walking distance, bars, restaurants & shops. The hotel staff were friendly. The room was small and cosy. The hotel is on a main street and yes can be traffic noisy - not a problem really. The sheets were clean. The maid cleaned our room daily and...

Location perfect and valet parking! Perfect city stop, walk everywhere. Good room with balcony and amazing view. Breakfast excellent. Pay by credit card (unusual for Portugal). Roof terrace. Choice of pillow. Helpful staff. Thin walls - could hear noisy people next door. Would have been 5 stars if not for this. Just bad luck.

A few yards from Coimbra A station - just right for train travellers like us. Checking in was greeted by "you're a month early " - OMG what now - no problem, now let me see for an extra 10Euros a night - all is well. September is more expensive than October so fair enough.(don't ask how we managed that...

To be clear - I am rating this hotel 5 stars because of it's service and location. This is not a 5 star hotel from a pure "5 star amenity" perspective. But my rating system for this trip was price / value, location and ease of use. Here is why it scores so high in my book: + Great service,...

This hotel has quite a few plus points and only one or two negatives. It is a city hotel near to the main Coimbra old town area which is very attractive, really nice buildings, squares and lots of restaurants. The staff are all very nice and friendly, and all of the reception staff speak very good english with a smile. There...

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and the hotel was a really nice choice. The rooms were relatively spacious and clean and the breakfast was nice, too. Also, the city centre with the old town are just around the corner.

The rooms have been recently renovated and are very clean and comfortable. It's right next to the rail station, restaurants and the old town. The staff are helpful too. And there's a good English breakfast included. I stay here often.
