Excellent hotel in very nice surroundings. Just 15 mins wonderful walk over bridge and public parc to center of Coimbra. Old fine house - with a new buildings for rooms and spa. All woven into a strange story about some nobel people. I truly enjoyed the stay - but please focus on creating a true new story about the place...

What a gorgeous place! We stayed three nights at Quinta Das Lagrimas and this was a perfect home base for trips in and around Coimbra. We visited Porto, Busaco, Coninbriga and of course Coimbra. All the employees were extremely welcoming and helpful, especially at the reception and restaurant. The food was delicious. We had a small meal in the bar,...

Spent a weekend there with my wife. The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful – we arrived at night and the entrance made quite an impact – an iron gate which opened after we pressed the intercom showing us a narrow paved way with tall trees on the side - at the end, the entrance of the hotel. This old...

An absolutely first rate property in an old palace renovated with modern conveniences. The hotel is situated on very old gardens. It has a gold range on premises as well. Try to stay in the Palace itself versus the new addition. the hotel restaurant id fantastic if a tad expensive, but well worth the splurge

Very charming hotel in a former palace with wonderful gardens. Our room was in the newer section so was more modern and might be lacking some of the charm of the older section, but was still a nice room with a good view of the gardens. The pool and sauna were very clean and relaxing. The hotel is a bit...

Very charming, nice restaurants. A romantic stay at an aging vintage hotel, not suitable for business travelers but a good respite from the noise in town. Coimbra is a fantastic little town, but come prepared to climb up steep hills to get to the University.

We stayed in Room 1 a suite with a private garden. Problem was that the sitting room was unusable because the heat did not work there or in the frigid bathroom (but was alright in the bedroom). Wifi was patchy at best and slow. All this was still excusable but not the matter of fact (bordering on surly) attitude of...

I have fallen in love with Quinta das Lágrimas, its gardens, its bedrooms, its restaurant. I only will improve the spa, with some kind of drink like tea or lemmon water. Very nice place for a romantic night!
