You don't want to come here without a car. Can't imagine that you could. We had trouble finding our way but we just k ept callling Derrick and he would giggle and tell us what to do next with his delightful London accent. Upon arrival we were enchanted and only became more so with time. Our visit was in the middle of September and it can be cold at night in this area, then there was some much needed rain. The food, the company, and Derricks laughter and wise anecdotal narratives of his many and varied travels were fun and informative. If you're made of the right stuff you will truly love this place.
Amazing location amazing food amazing host, Derricks culinary skills are second to none, he knows the most amazing private swimming rivers and waterfalls lovely yurts came home relaxed, was on our bucket list and well worth it.
Great service, great place - love it! Went with other family of 5 and had a great time. Derek and Hannah were great and everyone was entertained Check out ‘paradise’ and go to local city gois Make sure you have a car though and get clear directions as no service out in the wild!
We went to Yurt Holiday Portugal for three nights. The best thing about it was the food. Derrick made some amazing meals during our stay. Make sure since you are far from everything that you request the extra meals. Also, the beds were super comfortable. This place is rustic and you will need to go up and down stairs to get to the yurts. I have a bad knee but am still able to navigate the terrain. The thing I did not like was the composting toilets. If you are ok with this then you will be fine. There is also hot and cold running water so the showers were very nice. It is east of Coimbra so you can get to most places from here. We also had a chance to go swimming in a river. Overall, a really great experience!
A wonderful place to go eco-glamping. Everything is taken care of with respect to the environment. No internet, great food and cosy yurts. Very good walking routes and waterfalls nearby. Derrick (who was there alone at the time we were there) proved to be very good company and a great cook. You can talk to him about anything and he has good suggestions as to what to do or where to eat out. Really nice place to chill down for a while and. Lily, the cat, is very social and always in for a cuddle! We stayed there for 5 nights.
