A very nice b & b in a central position near the harbour and local restaurants. Staff very welcoming and friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. A nice sunny outside area to either eat breakfast or relax.

This is a lovely, quaint B&B near the harbour. They offer fresh fruit and pastries free to guests each day. The property is open plan in places with access to the breakfast room via an outside staircase for guests in the ground floor rooms. The breakfast has a vast array of breads, cakes cheeses, cereals etc. On our arrival here...

We stayed at this delightful B&B for three nights as part of our two week tour of The Azores. It's a perfect base in which to explore Sao Jorge - buses pass through and there are five car hire companies (still pricey to rent a car). The ferry to Pico is very close to this B&B too. Positives (loads) -...

A delightful B&B visited as part of a two week trip of the Azores. One of the best hotels we stayed in. Lovely rooms, great breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff and great location. Could do with a few more chairs / sun loungers outside but very highly recommended.

My partner and I plus 2 friends stayed for a few days. Rooms were lovely, service excellent, breakfast plentiful and tasty. Free apples and cakes in reception were a luxurious touch. Wonderful views of the harbour and Pico. There is also a travel agency attached to the guesthouse and Philomena is amazing! Very organised and helpful

This was our home base for a 5-night stay on Sao Jorge. First--they have a travel agency attached to the hotel. I can't say enough about how helpful it was to have staff available to answer questions. Filomina (sp?) even helped us plan an impromptu overnight trip to Pico including the ferry, whale watch, hotel and rental car. Having an...

Stayed for 4 nights in September and really enjoyed our time. The rooms are clean bright and well maintained with views of Pico (when its clear). Breakfasts are very good especially the cakes - although everything else is good too. We also had packed lunches which were very good. Plenty of restaurants nearby too. Didn't see too much of the...

We stayed for 4 nights in Velas at the Casa do Antonio on our visit to Sao Jorge. The location couldn't be better. The port is close to catch the ferry. It was easy to walk to many restaurants for dinner. The room was fine, nothing special, but clean and quiet. Breakfast was adequate and included various breads, cheeses, yogurt,...
