Yvette couldn't have been more helpful. She recommended and booked a fabulous restaurant for us and was always willing to suggest places to visit and things to do. Our room had an ensuite and was on the ground floor. It was spotlessly clean, but unfortunately no air-conditioning. The view and garden of the vila couldn't have been improved - Mount...

This is a lovely B&B and Yvette was a wonderful hostess. She emailed me detailed directions before we arrived and we did not have any problems finding it. The property is very well maintained and decorated, clean with great views and we liked the homey feeling. The breakfast was really good and I especially liked the home made yogurt. Yvette...

You'll have to look up this place on the map before driving, there a no signs on the road. This is a nice place, has a beautiful garden with a nice view on Horta and Pico. The rooms are a bit outdated, the bed (small for two average people!), shower and furniture need a make-over or replacement. The hostess of...

If You look for a perfect place to stay villa Belgica it is! It has a superb view and Yvette is the best hostess you can find. Because it is uphill you have the most beautifull view on the island and The close bye Island Pico. Well worth it to be a little bit out of the center, but it...

I am past the B&B concept. This is a B&B in the traditional sense. Clean, sparsely furnished and no amenities. The location is too far from the town although the views are spectacular. I believe the website and the comments from visitors are somewhat misleading since they only refer to the view and not the facility.

We are a bit surprised by this review. This guests arrived and could not find the way to our B & B so of course we went to pick them up. Next morning they could not get how to drive to Horta (only 1 way down - 5 minutes). Again I went in front of them and showed them the...

A traditional B and B experience with a friendly, helpful owner and daughter. Small breakfast bar enjoying wonderful views towards Pico. Satisfactory choice of cold breakfast with boiled eggs if required. Good value

We have been at Vila Belgica with a group of 10 people for 10 days and Yvette received us with her friendly and open heart. Her House is situated top of a hill with a really 5 star view over Horta and to the famous Pico Vulcano on the next island. The Garden is lovely and so is her breakfast,...

Above Horta and enroute to the caldeira, is the small 'Vila Belgica' bed and breakfast. While it's not easy to find the first time, you'll quickly realize that the drive isn't as confusing as it first seems, is only a 10-minute drive to "town" and the serenity, comfort and hospitality of the owner, Yvette, makes the stay totally worthwhile! In...
