Room was fantastic including the view the set up but that was it... when you talk about experience, ours was crap. Starting by AVG service, food was super awfully disgusting... no taste, nothing fresh, no variety and outrageously expensive for what you get... as said by other disappointed guests... Martinhal just try to charge you everything they can... from my 10 min tennis court used to additional breakfast ... If you stay at Martinhal you shall better do food shopping before or consider only eating outside Or simply don’t go

Hotel's Favorite
We have just spent a week at Martinhal Sagres. Fabulous family holiday for six of us, grandparents, daughter and husband and our wonderful 7 month old twins. The hotel complex is totally family oriented and the staff are so child friendly. The food was excellent in a variety of restaurants. Miguel, in the main restaurant, made the twins feel special and made them smile even when they were a little tired. Our Beach house had fantastic views and was very spacious. We walked down to the pool each day and spent time on the beach. In the evening we had a wide choice of restaurants and the food was always excellent. The central square was a hive of activity and had a series of themed evenings. Everyone was so friendly. If you are looking for a family oriented hotel for babies and toddlers, this hotel is first rate. Thank you, Martinhal Sagres!!!

I want to start with a positive. All the staff were very polite, and not irritatingly so as you sometimes get at call centres and I really can't fault them. The fault is definitely with the owners/CEO's of this company. We were so excited about our holiday based on the website but when we arrived we were very disappointed. Considering how much we paid for accommodation we were shocked to discover that nothing was included. They say its good for teenagers, well maybe if you want to pay through the nose for everything, you had to pay 35 euros for an hour, all activities you had to pay. The only thing that was free, the Blue room, closed at 5:30pm!!!!! I did expect the supermarket to be over priced but there wasn't a great choice and the restaurants were nothing special but very expensive. We ordered in one night and the food was cold. One of our nearest pools were closed event though we paid full price which I felt was wrong. This place is more geared for families with young children. I also found it frustrating to only have two sun loungers at our property despite it being for 6 people. I definitely would not go again and would not recommend!

Perfect resort for a holiday in (and of course also out) covid times: spacious villas, good restaurants, clean and nice swimming pool, friendly staff, a relax environment without crowds Sagres itself of course more windy and colder as rest of Algarve, but keeping this in mind, there are plenty of possibilities for activities (surfing, biking, beauty, dolphin watching,...) for those who do not always want to lay on a sunbed next to the pool.
