Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, the room was lovely. But the spa and the treatment staff deserve a special mention- our spa, massage and facial experience was simply wonderful. Thank you, we will be back!
We found our stay to be perfect. Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Very child friendly. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and well equipped, however the beds maybe a little hard for my liking. The breakfast suited everyone’s palate and was delicious and so fresh. We had lunch in the restaurant and the service was really good and food excellent. Lovely walks in the area and lots of free activities to take part in.
Fantastic week with my wife and 2 year old son! The staff really make this place 5 star!!! The breakfast is excellent and the lunch and evening food offerings, although limited, are also extremely good. The hotel is initially a little difficult to navigate but you soon find the quirky routes to get places. The rooms are comfortable without much noise and have ample facilities. Being off season we didn't get to experience all the hotel has to offer, mezzanine, pizzeria and pool bars were closed but overall this didn't really matter. I would suggest car hire to get around. My only gripe would be that some of the flooring around the indoor family pool needs some attention, little toes and lose decking don't mix. All in all a lovely, smart, relaxed place to spend a week and would definitely return!…
We stayed for nights in a beautiful one bedroom apartment. Ithads balcony and overlooked the patio area. Had everything we needed. Staff were extremely quick in acting on our request to make up sofabed. As the room was so large this still left plenty of living space. Enormous bed in bedroom and having two bathrooms is exceptional. We worked output way around hotel after one day. Spa is exceptionally good and well worth paying extra.
This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, the food is great & staff very friendly. Excellent location for a relaxing break & still close enough to local towns (car recommended)
This hotel is lovely, the rooms are great all spacious and really well equipped. Couldn’t fault the rooms or the views. The spa was fantastic and the hotel itself was wonderful- a bit of a maze but you get the hang of it! Breakfast was nice. Has a great underground car park. The main reason I marked 4/5 is due to the fact the hotel has 3 restaurants but only 1 open during our stay, they also said the restaurant was fully booked some nights and when you walked past throughout the evening there was plenty of empty tables so confused to why they said there was no room. Most of the staff very friendly, one woman on reception quite rude but the rest lovely, we had a sewage smell in our first room on the second day and they couldn’t get rid of it so they moved us to a different room after we went and asked. Overall a great holiday would highly recommend, maybe the restaurants open in peak times…
Ok, so, I write reviews professionally for a travel editorial. This was however, a personal family break. The hotel is a maze, as it exists on a mountainous range- however, personally I found this extremely appealing and quite fathomable after day 1. The architecture is juxtaposed to the neighbouring housing and that is precisely why it was so appealing- that is not taking anything away from the traditional feel, but it gives a gateway to an ulterior dimension. Cold, solid lines, wide walkways and plenty of plush furnishing strategically scattered. The apartments were spacious and very accommodating. A pleasant spa and various other facilities accessorised the experience. Two pools, one of which we mainly used as it catered for children, was warm and very quiet as off peak season. The two restaurants open were good. The menu limited, but it delivers what it said. The breakfast was very acceptable. The views are amazing and as said before, for myself, the architecture and design was exquisite. The highlight however, was the staff. Without question, from the front desk who welcomed us, to the amazing head waiter in the restaurant (my son referred to as the ‘cooker’ as he loved the food), to another male waiter who personally welcomed us each morning- simply fantastic service. Young lady on front desk who frequently directed me around the beautiful modern maze and each and every person we came in contact with-really made the difference. You see, sometimes in settings such as these- you can feel a disconnect with the staff but just like a school where a teacher can make ALL the difference- the staff here, made the holiday, I highly recommend. Tips:- taxi is easier to arrange with hotel as cheaper than a taxi from Faro airport. Costs approx 90 Euros. If you feel like cooking in the kitchen, Monchique supermarket is a short taxi drive away- approx 8 euros and has adequate supplies.…
Lovely place, spacious room -also with cooking facilities should you wish to cook yourselves, very friendly and attentive personnel, good breakfast (lots of choice) and a great SPA experience. Surely a place I recommend.
This hotel is perfect if you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay in a quality hotel with an excellent spa and restaurant. It is ideal if you enjoy walking / cycling in the rugged countryside yet is close enough to the coastal resorts.
The issues for me was the covered exterior pool, the limitation (hours) to the snack bar and only one restaurant where one could sit down to a meal and if not booked in advance couldnt get a sit down meal, doesnt do justice to the rest of the facilities.
