The stay at Canavial Gardens is one of the most accommodating stays we've had. Luis and his mother are very welcoming and provide everything they can. They go the extra mile and more! From cleanliness, providing maps, beach towels, sun umbrellas, taking the time to explain every nook and cranny of Lagos and the region, to providing an excellent breakfast! Good location, near the beach, and a very calm and pleasant environment.

We stayed here for nine nights. Everyday the breakfast was delicious and our hosts were both very welcoming and very respectful of our privacy. The grounds were beautiful and I would highly recommend this accommodation to anybody else visiting Lagos.

My wife and I spent 9 nights at this small and cozy place, and was extremely pleased both with the location, the rooms and, above all, the outstandingly friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect if you want somewhere within walking distance to the beach and the lagos City centre and old town. The Porto de Mos beach is about 10 minutes walking from the hotel and is a quiet and spacious beach compared to some of the other beaches at Lagos. Walking to the old town of Lagos takes about 20 minutes. There are also several nice restaurants and a market within 10 minutes walking from the hotel. The location is also a good base for hiking, along various paths, including a 5 km walk along the cliffs to the neighboring town Praia de Luz and the other way along the cliffs between Porto de Mos and the city centre. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Our room was quite spacious, with sofa and inside the room itself as well as a similar facilities at the balcony. This made the room a nice place beyond just a place to sleep at night. The beds were comfortable. Other facilities included a breakfast buffet (included) and nice outside areas. Above all, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Together with the location and quality of the rooms and the place itself, their welcoming attitude and eagerness to help with tips and information and their focus on making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, makes this one of our very best hotel experiences. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place to enjoy their stay at Lagos.

Great place to stay during you vacation! Thanks to hospitable hosts and a cozy inner yard the place has welcoming atmosphere and you literally don't want to leave it. In addition to that tidy rooms, a good breakfast and a location near a remote beach makes the stay unforgettable.
