Me and my partner stayed for a week and were very happy during our stay. To summarise the pros: - Very easy to book and contact host - Easy to get to (we hired a car) - Great location on the beach (3minute walk), lovely coastal walks across the cliffs can be easily accessed and it is a short drive to local supermarkets and shops - The parking was free and very good - Spacious room and a very large balcony - Comfy bed, tv with a few channels, nice kitchen facilities & good air con Areas that could be improved: - The bath wasn’t very nice, it looked old and had various marks and stains on it

this is the worse hotel that I have ever been to. It is run by a man called Fernando his wife and 2 children. When booking my trip I contacted the hotel by phone and spoke to Fernando myself. He seemed like a very nice man ! Until we got there. On arriving in reception there was no body on the desk and had to look around the hotel for 20mins trying to find a member of staff. Eventually his wife came back from the shop and checked us in. There is NO FLAT SCREEN TV in any room. The rooms are large but dirty beyond belief we found 3 dead cockroaches on the floor. HoteThere was no remote for the air conditioning which looked that old it wouldn't of worked even if there was a remote. There's exposed live wires hanging out of most light fittings. In the hallways there is smashed plaster boards so you can see the buildings internal pipes. The hotel closes at 9pm. Fernando will give you a code for the door that won't work and when you try to phone him he ither ignores the calls or turns the phone off ! If you do get to the one bar the hotel has you will be served by one of his children. His 11year old son was the bar boy the 2 nights we lasted in the hotel serving alcohol or putting frozen pizzas in the oven that they will charge you 12euros for. ,I am well travelled.... this is the worse experience I have ever had, and I'm not posh or picky, I just want what you pay for. If you book this hotel it will be your worse decision ! Stay away.

Big, but familiar hotel, clean, well equipped and spacious rooms with great view and big balcony. Very kind and helpful staff. The speciality of the house, the sangria is the best ever... We enjoy the Fado program too. Thank you! We must return, because we don't try the pool!

From the pool and bar, to the gorgeous rooms... this place is the best. The Silva’s make us feel like part of their family. The rooms are large and fully furnished, everything was super clean and comfortable! The hotel is a 3-5 minutes walk from an excellent beach. The beach also has a bus that takes you downtown every hour. The only thing I could see being a “downside” for some travelers is the WiFi. WiFi is 3€ a day... it is free in the lobby though. Why you would be on the internet in this paradise is beyond me!
