The AP Eva Senses Hotel delights many guests with its prime marina location and the tranquility of breakfasts accompanied by live piano music. While the rooms' views and comfort receive positive remarks, some guests suggest attention is needed for the dated decor and air-conditioning. The staff earns praise for their friendliness, but the reception's responsiveness occasionally falls short.
Amenities, including a diverse breakfast and rooftop features, are popular despite some inconsistencies. Value is generally appreciated, with good transport links and reasonable room rates, although additional costs have been noted.

We came here for a 3 day break for my husbands birthday, first of all it is so simple to get a bus from the airport just go out the airport near Costa coffee you will see a blue bus stop get on the no 16 to faro city it stops at the bus station and the hotel is a 2 minute walk and only €2.35 each . Check in was very quick, we had room 414 a excellent room with a marina view and a lovely walk in shower. It was my husbands birthday while we was there and they put a bottle of bubbly in our room , thank you for that, we were lucky with wonderful hot weather, this hotel is in a very good location for everything and would recommend, we got a bus to the beach which was very pleasant and again very easy the staff are all very helpful and pleasant , there was building work going on but we did not notice it our room was on the 4th floor and the dining room was on the 5th , we went half board and would love to go back when we can but we would only do bed and breakfast, the breakfast was very good but the evening meal was not so nice not a lot of choice and not very warm and for the extra we paid you could of had a nice meal cooked for you at one of the very close restaurants for less , but we would definitely recommend the hotel the reception staff also gave us lots of information and a bus and train timetable. Hope to revisit one day

We enjoyed it so much last year that as a surprise I was taken here again.
The hotel is in a great location in the town with some rooms overlooking the marina. The view really is lovely if you book a marina room, worth paying that little bit more.
Rooms are very clean, pleasantly decorated and we had a lovely big walk in shower. There are complimentary soaps, gels, shampoos etc which are replenished if you need them.
The staff really make the hotel go up another notch. We noticed some of the ones from last year were not there this time but standards were still high. On checking in we were asked if we were celebrating a birthday/anniversary. We were as a matter of fact. Later that day on our return we found a bottle of bubbly in our room. Such a lovely gesture.
As noted by another reviewer the upstairs bar was difficult to get a drink from. It was very rarely manned but maybe because it wasn't high season? They should have a buzzer/alarm so that staff looking after it know when someone is there and want a drink as I think the restaurant staff double up for the bar.
Breakfast is a lavish affair with so much choice you probably wouldn't be able to taste everything in a week. They also had a man guitarist and woman singer at breakfast. Never been serenaded like that! Another nice surprise.
On Valentines day our room was decorated with balloons, petals on the bed, a bottle of bubbly and fruit. Again attention to detail and another surprise.
Cafes, restaurants, shops and a lot of the sights are all within a few minutes walk so not much need for taxis.
The bus station is next door to the hotel and the train station a 2 min walk further on from there. We went to Alvora for the day for €12 return.
Highly recommend the hotel and we will definitely be returning.

Myself and my husband stayed here in August 2020 and had a wonderful experience. We originally booked a marine view room but decided to upgrade to a suite once we arrived as it was out 2nd Wedding Anniversary. The suite was large and had a minibar which was stoked. As there were a few drinks we didn’t want the hotel gladly swapped them for others.
The hotel wasn’t very busy and neither was the rooftop pool. The drinks were very reasonably priced at the bar so this made us want to stay and have a few drinks. There were plenty of loungers which were well spaced out so no issues with social distancing. At breakfast all cutlery was given in a paper bag so there was no touching or sharing anything. As a vegetarian I found the be breakfast a little limited but I didn’t go hungry and you could eat at the Eva Market too if you wanted too. Masks were required at all times in doors but this was the same in all of Faro so was no problem.
We would definitely return again especially as it’s only 10 minutes from the airport and walking distance to everything you would need;

My wife and I booked a superior room with a balcony and Marina view and we were not disappointed. The hotel is situated right on the marina and is a fabulous place to sit and watch the world go by and the beautiful sunsets over the marina and estuary. It’s superbly situated, just a 10 minute taxi drive from the airport (12e by taxi or 15e for direct hotel transfer), next to a wide range of bars, restaurants, shops and the old town. It’s also just a 5 minute walk from the railway and bus stations, which we found extremely handy for visiting other areas of the Algarve. Our hotel room was very nice, comfortable and spacious, offering all mod cons including free wi-fi and some UK tv channels including BBC1, not that we watched much tv! The hotel buffet breakfast offered a great choice of cooked and continental and even had very talented live musicians and singers playing while you ate. There is also a nice bar area which actually didn’t feel like hotel prices (a glass of wine and a glass of port cost around 7e). There is also a rooftop pool, although this is closed out of season so unfortunately I can’t comment on that! We will definitely stay at this hotel again on our next visit to the region.

Me and my husband stayed at the Eva Senses hotel in September. It was our first visit to Portugal and we were not disappointed. The hotel is situated in the centre of Faro and near to the old town with plenty of restaurants nearby. We were given a large room but without a balcony which we would have preferered. The following day when we requested to change rooms to one with a balcony this was accommodated with no problem. All the staff we came into contact with at the hotel were very friendly, professional and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The covid measures throughout the hotel were excellent with mask wearing throughout the hotel and sanitisers made available. The breakfast was fantastic and again the covid measures were excellent as well. We enjoyed the pool area although a little small and sometimes difficult to get a sun bed. There is also a pool bar serving drinks and snacks. We visited the Eva Senses market on two occasions and enjoyed the tapas. We had a lovely break in Portugal and would definitely return to the Eva Senses hotel.

Just come home from a five night stay at this lovely hotel. Very nice staff especially on reception.Very helpful. We had a superior room with marina view .first room wasn’t completely cleaned but was changed immediately.Handy to have a fridge and kettle etc., with plenty of teas and coffees.
Nice clean towels ,bathroom and shower good.Balcony adequate with table and two chairs. The location couldn’t be better ,never been to Portugal before but fell in love with it. Nice swimming pool and yes you have to get there early to get a sun lounger or bed but plenty of chairs.
The hotel are strict with mask wearing which is a comforting thought,
Breakfast was good a varied selection of hot and cold and cold food and was lovely to sit on the terrace to eat. Was most impressed with the hygiene with paper bags filled with cutlery and also tongs and plastic gloves available.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to,return.thank you for making our holiday special.

Deeply saddened that our return experience was not pleasant, we will not make the same mistake again
Our Previous experience @ Eva, with a city view room, meant we paid for their best room, this time. Marina facing, suite, 2 x living areas and 2 x bathrooms.
The new reception area appeared muddled / confused and we had to be waved at, from the back of the room, in order to find check-in.
We were allocated room 300 which is not marina facing, as booked and paid for. (10% marina and 90% city view.)
It has a side view of the gable end of the marina facing rooms. (For info', ditto rooms 100, 200 and 400)
On asking to be allocated the marina facing room purchased, we were given 401 and told that was the only available room in that category. This room had only one bathroom, unlike 300, and is not suitable accommodation for anyone that is not profoundly deaf, it turned out.
Immediately below the rooftop bar, it is also directly below the "stage" that the live musicians perform on.
Reception, when contacted, advised it was weekends only, we arrived on Sunday, and that the noise would stop at 19:30.
When I told the assistant manager showing us to the replacement room, that I would let them know if the noise became a problem. He replied that it would be the night managers problem then, not his!
It didn't stop at 19:30. The music continued from live musician to pre recorded with an incessant beat. Even with a pillow on both sides of my head I was unable to sleep until at 02:00 (ish), bar closing, the noise gradually diminished.
The noise also continued on the next three weekdays. (We thankfully left on the fourth day.)
We were also awakened with the corridor being vacuumed at 08:00. The maid moving the tables and chairs in the area beside the bar at around 14:00, also prevented any form of siesta to catch up on lost sleep as this was also immediately above room 401.
Despite leaving our room at 10:00, hanging the "please make up our room sign" and not returning to 13:00 there was no room cleaning on the second and third morning.
There is a coffee machine in the room which comes with three pods. (Delta)
There is a sign advising further pods can be obtained from reception at a cost of 1.50 euro each.

Eva Senses is a perfectly located hotel next to the yacht harbor right in the center of Faro. Our room was beautiful and very clean. Really enjoyed the small terrace overlooking the harbor and the old city center. What a wonderful view! We did experience some noise from the planes landing in Faro, but luckily the air traffic stopped at night. The beds were very good. I had an excellent night's sleep.
The staff at reception was very friendly and professional. Really went out of their way to answer all our questions.
The hotel has a rooftop pool and lots of different restaurants inside the building. It was very busy at the pool, so we had some trouble finding a seat to put our towels on. Sadly the staff at the pool didn't clean up the tables fast enough. The empty glasses and bottles of previous guests were left way too long on the tables.
The water in the pool was cold and my boyfriend and I noticed that the water level in the pool was way lower than it should be. Perhaps the hotel wanted to save water?
The breakfast was outstanding. So many options to choose from. Every guest got a pincer to help themselves to the food at the buffet, to ensure COVID-19 safety. I loved the cooked options and the Portuguese pastry. Bonus points for the sparkling wine. What a way to start the day.
The cleaning staff did take there time cleaning the rooms, when my boyfriend and I returned at about 4 pm, the room still wasn't cleaned. I guess they must be understaffed.

During my last visit to the Algarve I spent some days in Faro and stayed at Eva Senses Hotel.
The hotel is perfectly located in the city center in front of the Marina, 5 minute walk from the Old Town and just 10 minute drive from the airport.
I booked a superior room, that has a sophisticated décor, two double beds, minibar, LCD TV, kettle, and a balcony with a wonderful view of the marina.
The bathroom had a really nice shower, bathrobe, slippers and high-quality toiletries.
The service was great, the gym surprisingly spacious and well equipped and food at Adão Restaurant marvelous.
Eva Senses Hotel has a beautiful rooftop with a striking view of the city and is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing in the pool.
Whether you’re spending one, two or three days in Faro, Eva Senses Hotel is your best option.

I had the misfortune to stay in this hotel, only to experience sleepless nights, tasteless breakfast, and disrespectful staff.
Specifically, my poor experiences included: being waken up daily at 6:50am by the hotel's restaurant (strident noise from chairs above the bedroom), brown water coming out of the sink, over-diluted (hence useless) complementary liquid soap, "do not disturb" sign ignored, empty toilet paper roll not being replaced by cleaning staff, bugs stemming from the shower, denial of access to swimming pool an hour before official closure, disgusting breakfast (to me, it tasted like hard discount supermarket juices, bread, ham, cheese), hair dryer from another century, and - last but not least - staff in denial (and even once blameful towards me) when confronted with the hotel's relatively substandard quality of service.
In my opinion, unfortunately, this establishment is not worth visiting and its number of stars seems overrated.
