Nestled conveniently close to local dining, beaches, and offering a serene atmosphere, the Mirachoro Carvoeiro Hotel receives praise for its location despite a challenging hill nearby. While opinions on value and service show some divergence, with mentions of overpriced items and a lack of warmth, the hotel's cleanliness and efficient staff are widely commended. Guests enjoy the pool and breakfast offerings, but some suggest the rooms and hot food could use a refresh. The atmosphere strikes a balance between energetic and tranquil, with lively music events and a contemporary yet sometimes dated decor.

I just don't understand why the British Govt have said I can't come to the Algarve without self isolating on return. I feel safer here than I do back home. Everyone is far more observant of social distancing, hand washing, masks etc than anywhere in the UK. All the staff have masks, breakfast is buffet style but served by one of the lovely waitresses who will get you whatever you want. At the moment the pool bar isn't open, unfortunately there just aren't the numbers of guests here to warrant it, but we are told it will be open next week. It isn't s problem anyway because another lovely lady walks round frequently and will bring you a beer, water or food direct to your sun lounger. It is clean, safe and as wonderful as ever, I just hope that as th season progresses they get more guests and are therefore able to survive this awful pandemic and we will be able to come back again next year. If you are reading this and are worried about your safety then don't be. Self isolating when I get back home will be a pain but it is well worth it and I would do it all again in a heartbeat to get back here

Hi I am currently staying at this hotel and its lovely.
Check in very efficient, friendly receptionist took our temperature and sanitized our suitcases making us feel very safe, in the knowledge all guests were being treated to this great covid 19 treatment.
Pool area is lovely. Plenty of sunbeds. Guest not hogging them with towels. Swim up bar is open and we enjoyed a lovely jug of sangria in the pool. What fun.
Hotel has an excellent way of keeping people safe in breakfast area. Where you point /request what food you want from the buffet.
Again the hotel has this well orgainsed. I really like this as means customers cant touch the food containers . Very hygienic also means no over eating so less food wastage. Great for the environment.
If your coming to stay here you will love it. Ignore any negative reviews after all the measures are to keep you and them safe.
Carvoeiro is very lovely and fully open for you to enjoy a fantastic holiday.

You can have a great holiday here for a very reasonable price. Don't expect 'extras' like show cooking or entertainment. The standard of cleaning is extremely good and the room provided a fridge, air conditioning and reliable wifi.
The sunloungers at the pool have built-in adjustable canopies. These are much easier to use than sun umbrellas.
As many reviewers have said, the hotel is ideally placed for walking to the boardwalk and to a large choice of restaurants. When you walk out of town you soon find a smooth pavement leading to the next beach (Vale de Centeanes) and then to the local golf course.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Mirachora and found the Hotel very attractive especially the reception, bar and dining area which I believe has had a recent refurb. Staff in all areas very professional and friendly also very smart looking. Breakfast was delicious every morning with plenty of choice Inc fresh pastries and fruit. I felt they handled the current covid situation well, handgels everywhere plus mask wearing essential and hotel overall spotless. I also liked the area and beach. Thank you Carlos,Alonzo and Maria for my evening glass of fizzy rose whilst watching the sunset.

This was our fourth stay at this hotel. We felt the staff handled the Cvid situation very well; everyone masked ,temperatures taken on arrival, sanitiser everywhere .luggage sanitised on arrival etc.
Obviously breakfast was a bit different in terms having to specify what you wanted but quality of food very good and staff very helpful and friendly.
It was beginning of October and the total was very quiet .
We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for the location, decor, cleanliness food and the friendliness of the staff in difficult circumstances.

First impression of the hotel were good, perfect location for us at the top of Carveiros main road near restaurants but far enough away to not be noisy.
Reception and restaurant look to have all been recently decorated, nice and light decor.
However I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for the reasons below -
$40 for safe - $20 for safe cost and additional $20 deposit which you get back when you return the key.
Our room keys didn’t work so had to go back to reception for that then when we got in the adjoining doors were locked so back down to reception again for those to be opened up.
The rooms are very very dated and look dirty in parts.
The plug socket by the bed buzzed and crackled so I unplugged it all holiday.
The pressure on the shower was great however the bath didn’t drain very well and the hairdryer was really poor.
The thing that spoiled the hotel for me the most was the 2 cleaning ladies, they did their job well but they were so rude, never smiled seemed angry with us if we weren’t ready for our rooms to be cleaned when they came - and it wasn’t like we were awkward as we were out and about from 11 every day and left the sign on the door to let them know. One day we were out from 9 on a trip came back at about 4 and they were cleaning our rooms, glared at us and told us to go away. Towards the end of our holiday my heart would sink if they were on our corridor. I usually leave a fairly decent tip for cleaning ladies when we’re away but not this time.
On a positive note the breakfasts were really really nice, good selection all fresh and well presented and the hotel also has an indoor pool which was useful for us as we had a couple of cloudy days although this area too could do with a lick of paint and a bit of basic maintenance on cracked tiles and to be generally freshened up which it looked like the spa area had had already.
I don’t think the hotel is a 4 star and based on the rooms would struggle for 3 star. Carveiro is lovely but I would not stay at this hotel again.

We booked this hotel through Jet2 after researching several options throughout the algarve and settled on this hotel as a nice option in our price bracket.

We arrived in the morning before we could check into our room and was provided with a little tour by one of the owners, I believe. This was a lovely introduction and we were told we could use the pool straight away which made the most of our first day.

The room was just what you need, each room has its own balcony, the air con works brilliantly and cleaning services are provided everyday. The breakfast is brilliant and very relaxed, we never struggled to find a table and the fresh food is always replenished.

The pool is brilliant - it seemed very relaxed during our stay with no one reserving sunbeds with towels at a ridiculous time in the morning.

We would say the main let down is the pool bar and food services. Throughout our stay they used a number system to keep track of orders which in fact never kept track of your order. As lovely as the food is when you do get it, we ended up being reluctant to order due to how long it would take and if we’d get the right food. It is reasonably priced compared to other places close by, however you will often wait a long for the privilege. You can tell that the majority of staff do care and are really trying their best so it may be a management issue.

Overall we would definitely return - the area is lovely and it is a good location in relation to the village, just small improvements could make it much better.

Note for couples - We came as a couple and although we originally would’ve preferred an adult only hotel there was still lots of couple and the families with children didn’t cause us any problems.

On the whole a great hotel. Our room (233) overlooked the pool and we could see the sea. The pool was never very busy despite the massively high temperatures we had for the week (thank goodness for the air on.) Breakfast was lovely but the dining area did get very crowded during peak times. The only thing we would have changed was the fact that no breakfast was provided on the day of departure. Access to the buffet would have been really appreciated at 6.30 am or a breakfast tray left in the room which we’ve had in previous hotels. We were offered a lunch bag - a sandwich, a piece of fruit and a juice but where were we going to eat that after we had checked out and who wants a ham sandwich at 6.30 am? We bought yogurt, fruit & a custard tart from the supermarket the night before and ate it in our room. That was our only negative and would gladly return to the spotlessly clean hotel.
Carvoeiro is a great place with loads of superb restaurants and a small, clean beach which has boat trips to the caves leaving regularly.

Just back from 10 days at the Marachoro Hotel, hotel reception area, dinning room fantastic so is the breakfast couldn't complain, the bar area is so light, bright and modern, the pool area is massive good pool bar and food with plenty of sunbeds for everyone, although a massive draw back is not a single parasol/umbrella in sight so shade is very rare unless you can find a spot under the palm trees this Is really bad news for people who like some shade or who have children.
My only real big complaint is the rooms are looking very tired and dated, for a 4* they are not up to scratch, towels are discoloured and rough and although given clean towels they were sometimes marked (not good)

Please look at this as it is a big off put for me and others, also room cleaning not amazing as they always come to clean ours when we had just got back from the pool or beach and we were showering not a good time.

The hotel staff that look after the dinning room and the pool bar are all great, polite and very very pleasant a big plus for any hotel

For me it is a 3* hotel but I would return as our holiday overall was fabulous

This was our 6th visit to the hotel and it was good to be home. All the staff going above and beyond to keep everyone safe during these difficult times. Bags disinfected on arrival, masks worn and hand gel around the hotel.Loved the addition of sun loungers on our balcony and the new decor throughout the ground floor makes for a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms spacious and clean can't wait for their upgrade too. Breakfast plentiful with lots of choice so you can mix it up from day to day. The staff adjusted well to new regime of serving you and kept queues down and areas cleared. We cant thank the staff enough for the welcome and making us feel safe during our stay. We will be back again next year.
