We spent a lovely week in this hotel. The location is fabulous with miles of golden sands. We actually walked into Vilamoura along the beach. It’s a bit of a trek but we had coffee in Vilamoura on the marina and then walked back. Due to time of year and COVID the hotel was understandably quiet. Hygiene was excellent with hand sanitizers strategically placed and all staff wearing masks. The staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely cleaner helped me with the tv remote. The evening we arrived we ate in the Al Kima (think that’s the name) restaurant. It was expensive but worth every euro for the fabulous fine cuisine. It closed that night but it was one you’d only go to once or twice in a week anyway. The rooms were lovely. We had a small problem with the lights which was solved promptly. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet break away.

We love this Hotel and the really nice and professional people there. All restaurants are great - also the fabulous Cheese Cake. And they are always so kind to get some limoncello from the bar to the Open Deck Restaurant at the pools. Sooooo kind 🤗

The service of the employees (reception) of the hotel is particular, very helpful. The well-being of the clients is exceptional. The room is spacious, the designerbathtub is wonderful and the shower is also great. The location of the hotel is outside and good located with a nice beach. The garden is groomed and the swimming pools propper as the whole hotel. Nothing bad to say! Every employee is very friendly and helpful. This hotel is to be recommended! I will come back...

Me and my husband stayed at Epic Sana for a week in early September. What can I say!! It’s a wonderful hotel with really great facilities and welcoming staff. They dealt with covid procedures very well. Everyone was spaced out during meals and they have a strict mask policy indoors so we always felt safe. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Carlos (King Carlos!) for great service during dinner, Beautriz for poolside service, Daniel at Open Deck and poolside, and Cristina who always welcomed us so nicely for breakfast. The beach is lovely, but if you walk down the coast a little you’ll find some much quieter patches - so pack some provisions and walk down a little further away from the crowds! The food was lovely and of a high quality. We had dinner a few times at the hotel and lunch most days. The rooms are spacious with ample cupboard space, and the decor was fab. We had a pool view room and it was lush. All in all, it was a really lovely trip, the only small critique I would have, is more music at the pool and at dinner etc. But perhaps the entertainment was reduced due to covid etc. There was one very fun happy hour at the pool with a saxophone player - I would love more things like this! I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and I definitely plan on going again!

We stayed here 3 nights in a Pool view room. The hotel is big, but not too big and from all rooms its not a far walk to the pools. I will split this review in subsections. First the good parts: - The pools are just great! I loved doing several swims per day ( even before breakfast). They have a heated family pool and a smaller adult pool ( not heated). - There were always enough towels at the pool; no annoying towel cards required either - They care a lot to follow Covid rules and people also wear their masks. the room was very clean - The overall food at the hotel has a very good standard. The breakfast offers all kinds of breads, pastries ( even the famous Pastis de Nata!); fresh juices; fresh eggs etc ( there should be really something for everyone). The lunch restaurant has a very varied menu with super healthy, but also your usual pool hotel craving options. The portions are big. We also had one evening food at the buffet restaurant. The food was varied, but unfortunately not many healthy options. They had a small salad selection, but nothing to write home about. This could be still improved. But they also offer a la carte options. The dinner at the Italian restaurant Lima was just great! - Good quality cocktails at the main bar! - The beach is close, but it is still a walk to get there, also many stairs. the beach itself is nice but next to the entrance from the hotel is a public parking, therefore I would recommend going around 500m to the left for more space - The staff is very friendly and tries to make the guests happy! Now the bad/ less good things: - The hotel looks like a business convention center. The park around it, is very beautiful but the hotel itself is business chic and definitively doesn't give holiday vibes. - For me the biggest let down was the room: It was just simply very dated. At this rate, I expected something 5 star level and not a standard airport hotel room. The matras is very hard and I encountered after 2 nights severe shoulder pain, so I complained and they offered me a top matras. This helped but didn't make the bed very comfortable either. Furthermore, the shower was a nightmare. In the shower there aren't normal tiles but some big stone tile placed on other stones. Long story short, on my first day I stepped in and the huge stone moved up. It terrified me. So in the future, I carefully had to step in the middle of the stone to prevent it from moving. Also, there is one glass sliding door, that works for the shower and the toilet. You can't close both at the same time. There is also just plain glass between the toilet and the shower, no privacy. The sun-bed on the balcony was very worn out. - No welcome drink for all guests! just vouchers for some that booked via an agency. This shouldn't be at a 5 star hotel!!! - Due to the covid rules, at the buffet there needs to be more staff working at the different stations Overall, it is a good hotel, because of the food and the pools, but the rooms aren't 5 star level and the rate I paid it was definitively not worth the price tag. If they would refurbish the rooms or the rate is very low, I would definitively return.
