I was a little apprehensive when booking this hotel after reading some awful reviews but decided to give it a go due to the fantastic location. Its right on the beach and very close to the old town aswell as the strip. For a 3* you get what you pay for. I think it is great value for money and deserves a nice review! Staff were friendly and although there wasn't a massive selection, the main restaurant food was always fresh and cooked well. The pool snack bar was regularly topped up with pizza , wraps, crisps and toasties etc. Sagres on tap is also a winner! Although the rooms and certain areas could do with a little updating, they were spacious and clean. Room was turned over with fresh bedding and towels every day of our stay. The beach is lovely and there are some great beach clubs dotted along. There was a mixture of guests and all different ages. There were a few groups on stag weekends and the place always feels fairly lively so if you are looking for a peaceful stay, this probably isn't the hotel for you! Overall , a great place to be and it couldnt get any closer to the beach. Would definitely stay here again in the future.…
Hotel was very dated, had to move rooms shortly after checking in as balcony doors didn't lock. When we checked out the staff refused to refund the 50 Euro deposit for each room, claiming that someone in the group had collected all the deposits for all of the rooms. This made little sense as each room was paid for individually and deposit signed for. Manager was completely dismissive and couldn't understand why we upset they had "given" our money to someone else. Good location for the beach but that's about it.
This is the 5th time at this Hotel, the first after refurbishment and Pandemic. As before I could not fault the hotel for the friendliness of staff and the cleanliness, the food is great and there is something for everyone with choices in abundance. The only fault I can think of is, they have moved the entertainment stage, so if you want a good clear view, you need to go down early to get a good seat. We will definitely go again.
I went last time for a long weekend. All excusive. The drinks were really strong....more tonic please!!! the food good, location and everything good for the brilliant price we paid. Through Sunmasters yet again :)
Absolutely lovely hotel, view was beautiful and rooms were clean. Only issue was one air conditioning didn’t work, restaurant above the 7th floor wasn’t great! All you could hear was chairs and tables being scrapped across the floor, meaning mornings and nights you couldn’t sleep we’ll.
From booking on the jet 2 website and reading '100 meters from restaurants and bars and close to the beach' I assumed this hotel was in the perfect area. I was silly and naive to the reviews I read as I normally think people over react! There was a mini supermarket (which had basics such as water/snacks) and 2 cafes and one sports bar. Not a restaurant in site. The beach is very close by, and there is a beach club on there, however the staff are beyond rude and the food was extremely poor! On an evening we had to get ubers/taxis into the old town which was around a 30 minute walk away, where they had a huge variation of restaurants/bars! I wish we stayed in a hotel more local to here as this would have been perfect. The hotel has a pool, which is located across a road (we couldn't actually find it) and another one further up the road that is so dirty. We never stayed in the hotel on an evening as it didn't have much going on and only has a very small bar. For how much this holiday cost I am honestly appalled. The balcony would fill with water from the air con and was dirty, very tired and looked terrible. For me personally the aesthetics didn't bother me of the room but the shower had no hot water and the bath was dirty. Do not waste your money.…
This was our first time in Portugal and the hotel was ideal for everything you need. We went all inclusive for a week, the food was always varied and fresh. There was a variety of drinks, a different cocktail option every day which was lovely. The staff were all amazing, couldn’t help you enough! I didn’t catch the name of the lady on reception who checked us in at 11 at night and was so helpful when we were very tired! She also very kindly gave us a little pack lunch because we had missed dinner for the day, outstanding service. The entertainment guys were brilliant, always putting on a show and so welcoming. One night we walked down to the bar and the very talented Miguel was also playing the saxophone, what more could you ask for?! The beach from our apartment was literally a 3-5 minute walk, we are in our early 20s so appreciate the hill getting back up may be a bit tricky for older people but it’s not back breaking. Everything is basically a walk away but if you have kids and want to visit the zoo marine or marina for a boat trip it’s a 10 min drive. There is basically something for everyone. The room was a standard room abroad, in our view we were never in it because we’re on holiday! So I am unsure how anyone can complain so much, get yourself out the room and explore Portugal I mean come on! There is also a little Italian restaurant hidden away that’s part of the hotel just behind the bar area, the service in there is amazing - table service and a lot quieter if you don’t want to use the buffet style dining. I would not hesitate to visit here again, for what you pay for I think people need to be less harsh it’s not 5 star but your also not paying the money. Thank you to all the staff who made our first visit to portugal so welcoming, we will definitely be back!!!…
Absolutely disgusted in our stay. We arrived at 2:30am our room was filthy and balcony covered in wood lice we opened our balcony not thinking they would be there and got our shock of our lives as loads came into are apartment we couldn’t even walk out on balcony as they was thousands. Not what you want when your tired and just had a long journey. We then asked them at 3:00am to changed our room and sent us into a room with a couple a sleep!!!! They then only gave us a option to stay in the room with the wood lice. They told us to come up to reception at 8am to get a new room only to be told we can’t get a room until 3pm. Food wise is vile wouldn’t even feed a dog it. Where not fussy eaters either. They is one restaurant where you have to book and only does pizza or spaghetti bolognese which taste disgusting! (As shown in picture hair on the pizza). At the pool bit they is a horrible snack bar I had a chicken baguette white had a bone in it! We have had to spend our money going to restaurants outside the hotel!…
Stayed here for 5 nights all inclusive and were really disappointed with our room location we were in a block that was 5 minutes away from the resort. The food was ok for breakfast but come on who serves rabbit for lunch . Out of 6 days we ate here 4 times that was 3 breakfast and 1 lunch .Was told after we booked no stags or hens but there was a few of both . No spa facilities the lift dont work and also no doctor on site . Still alot of work going on around the complex with alot of it closed off . need to climb 4 sets of stairs to go to restaurant and the evening entertainment was poor . Definitely not a place you'd take your wife or kids oh and dont forget your hiking boots as everywhere is hills . Would I return to Portugal maybe to this hotel definitely not.
I'm still at hotel booked 14 days still got 6 to go First of all negatives this hotel is not good if you have a walking disability as they are alot of steps and hills and that's it Easy check in arrived early room not ready checked us in put suitcase in a safe place put wristband on. Drinks on all inclusive come in plastic or cardboard cups they have a few free cocktails aswell as ones you pay for. This place is massive and takes a few days to find ya feet we were lucky and got in main hotel and absolutely love our rooms big and airy with a view over pool and see also Aircon in both rooms are spotless cleaners come in everyday to make beds change towels yes it is a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Meals are good proper Portuguese food don't expect English food your on Portugal Plenty of choice they is also a italian restaurant which is lovely They is a beautiful hut on the beach which you pay for but views are beautiful only downfall all the steps and hills . They are also shops restaurants just up the hill so you don't have to leave complex Ideal for both old town and new town taxi costing 5 euro nice walk down to old town but massive hill coming back Snack bar round the pool is really good with plenty of choice also do a daily cocktail which are lovely also plenty of beds and don't have people fighting over them They is a good selection of age groups just be very careful with your belongings friend has his wallet emptied and ear pods stolen today. Overall I will deffo be back next year with the family Ignor all these horrible comments it is a 3 star hotel iv been In 4 star not half as good as this one…
