The rooms are big and spacious. Ours had a balcony and I think all rooms had one. Old style building which I liked. There is a small pool which is really well maintained. Plenty of pool furniture and much of the time we had the pool area to ourselves.
There is great attention to meeting clients needs. Mafalda is really friendly and attentive. There are lots of small details that show the effort they make. There are parasols and beach chairs by the door to borrow for going to the beach. There are books and sun creams on the shelves.
Breakfast is very good. Cereal, fruit, cheese, ham and breads are all laid out. There is a choice of fried or scrambled egg and also tangy fresh orange juice.
Relatively small establishment so it tends to be friendly with a personal touch.
One disadvantage has to be mentioned. Loud music from town drifts up and carries on until four in the morning. Personally it didn’t bother me at all and I slept fine. There are shutters which dim the sound and ear plugs are provided in case you need them.
I loved it and would happily stay here if I visited Albufeira again.
Breakfast each morning was nice and had plenty of options.
Oveerall we enjoyed it here especially with it being so close to everything and would stay here again no problem.
This stunning little guesthouse is in a fabulous location with a view of Albufeira Old Town Square and is the ideal base to get around the Albufeira area, it’s a nice 15 minute walk to the Marina or just stay local and use the lovely restaurants that the Old Town offers.
The accommodation is kept spotlessly clean and there is hand sanitiser available from the minute you walk in the door and is also placed on each floor. Mafalda the Manager of the guesthouse takes great personal pride in ensuring each guest has the best/safest stay possible (she’s amazing 😊) and the pool is a real bonus and a great feature for this little guesthouse. Continental Breakfast is available upon request and this includes freshly made eggs, delicious local pastries and the most amazing freshly squeezed orange juice.
I really cannot recommend this little guesthouse enough and would like to thank Mafalda for making our stay so special, we cannot wait to stay again.
There are some beach umbrellas available to take for free !
Breakfast is not included but is only worthwhile if you are used to having a hearty breakfast. We (drinking only coffee and croissants) preferred to go shopping and have breakfast by the pool.
Mafalda is very nice and always available.
Very recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you’re looking for a quiet stay then Bertolini is not for you but if you are looking to be in the thick of the action staying in a great central location in a first class guesthouse then Bertolina’s is definitely the one.
Mafalda is a lovely lady who runs the place. She gives you her whatsapp so you can contact her at any time.
As per other reviews, it does get quite loud since it's close to everything - personally I had no issue with the music, but if you need dead silence to sleep I'd recommend looking for somewhere that isn't so close to everything.
Only thing I wasn't particularly fond of was there was no door signs to indicate whether you want housekeeping or not - the one day where I did not, the housekeeper came in and out of my room three times, and when they realised I was sleeping, they left but didn't double lock the door. Other than that was great! Would stay again.
.Went to see the pool which had most dangerous winding steps totally unsuitable for my frie d who has previously suffered a stroke!Water inpool dirty ! I text her and asked for a ground floor so my friend didn't have to go up and down steps but no luck. Booked a lovely hotel for the next day and just left and refused to give us any money back ,100 euros would have been something as cost us nearly 800 between us.Got a pleasant text that day apologising that we were unhappy and wished us well.3 days later she text that an item had been found which belonged to my sister and we could pick it up
They got there to be greeted by this rude woman
.She abruptly said WAIT THERE! She literally threw the purse at her and just glared at them from doorway and continued to watch them as they got in a cab and went round the corner. They came back and said the woman was a psychopath. Bloody cheek of her ,she had nearly ,€800 and 2 free rooms. So many nicer and cheaper places to stay
Mafalda was very helpful.
Would stay again.
"Very noisy in season but great location for the square. Comfortable and clean. See if you can get a room away from facing the square as this may be a touch quiter."Read full review
