We've just returned from a week at Casa Pedras apartments and couldn't really fault it. We booked direct with the owners son and then arranged our flights. On arrival, we were met by the elderly owners Aldina and Antonio and felt at home straight away, although they spoke to us in Portugese and we couldn't understand a word of what...

Having stayed at Casa das Pedra for over fifteen years (previously with my late husband) we have always found Aldina and Antonio welcoming hosts. With only six apartmnts (have stayed in five), there is never any feeling of being crowded. The traditional Portugese decor in each individual apartment adds to the charm. Yet each apartment is well equipped, well maintained...

As with the other reviewers, I agree this is a little gem in an area where everything you need is in walking distance and the hosts are lovely. The only drawback was the building site directly opposite. While we were there, a brand new 5 bedroom house was having its foundations put in and the noise was deafening from 8am...

Recently returned from the Casa Pedras and found these appartments exceeded our expectations. Perfectly positioned a couple of minutes walk to the main road and the bus stop, taxi rank, big supermarket, shops, cafes, small fruit, veg, meat and fish market but far enough away not to be troubled by any road noise, in fact it was a very quiet...

Booked a week through First Choice, and loved it. After stopping at massive apartment complexes en route from the airport the Casa Pedras was like a breath of fresh air - a small white block, covered in pink bougainvillia. The friendly owner was waiting, and gave us a guided tour, explaining everything in Portuguses, but with a lovely smile. We...

My partner and I have just got back from a weeks' stay at Casa Pedras (31st July 06), our apartment was brilliant a true home from home, we had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconys along with a kitchen and lounge area, the decor was a little old fashioned but apart from that we couldn't have wished for anything better,...

My stay here was great. Myself and 3 friends stayed for two weeks in the middle of July. Even though the area was very quiet for our age group, (at the time 3 of us were 19 and 1 was 17) it was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of albufeira but close enough to go there...

We have just returned from a two week stay at these apartments (Sept 2005). They are excellent. Its a small block of just six apartments, all individual. There's a swimming pool (unheated) with ample sunloungers and parasols. There is a large paved patio area, surrounded by pretty plants and bougainvillea climbing up the front wall and a lovely pink trumpet...

“Room 2 was near to the pavement/road and at ground level, so you got to hear most conversations from people passing by, IF you stayed around the apartment. Keep the window and door screens closed to help keep the rooms cool later.”
