Stayed here for a week with my two daughters, one bedroom apartment has others have mentioned the apartments are very basic could do with maybe some new furniture etc but we found them fine, they were clean and bedding clean etc. We were on the ground floor so had a very big patio area which my 3yo loved we even managed to connect to the WiFi for our stay. The pool area is lovely, very clean and lots of sun beds with a bar cafe serving snacks and drinks all day. Found all the staff friendly and helpful, for the price we paid have no complaints and would visit again.

I came here for my 24th birthday and had an amazing time. The pool area was lovely surrounded by palm trees and the location was good to, a 25 minute walk or €6 cab fare to the old town and a 10 minute walk to the new town (strip). Staff couldn’t do enough to help you and I would definitely return in the future, thanks for an incredible holiday and one I will remember for the rest of my life!!!!

Second time staying in cheerful way Vila Alba and was not disappointed. Our apartment was a two bed on the first floor and when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with its size. Don’t get me wrong these apartments are in need of refurbishment, a lick of paint and some modernising and aircon but for the price we paid we could not complain. The beds were comfortable, the apartment was clean and the pool area was fab. All members of staff we engaged with on our trip were so friendly and helpful, from the guys in reception to the cleaners and pool bar staff. The pool area is lovely. Pool was cleaned every evening and the bar sold snacks, drinks and some hot food all for reasonable prices (ham and cheese toasty was 3.50) only slight downside was the pool side beds are a bit old and can get uncomfortable if you are there for a long period. Apartments are only a short walk to the strip (maybe 10 min) and there is a small supermarket 5 min away. Although I like this place I prob would not return again as I did miss some of the luxuries like tv and air con, but if u are looking for something cheap and cheerful this is perfect.

I booked this holiday as a cheap and cheerful (way) break as finances were poor. I did read the bulk of reviews and by the time we set out to arrive I was very worried. Arrived at reception and an oldish skinny guy checked us in giving us a raft of information. We also had to sign a form about charges for breakages and damage which after staying was quite laughable. Stepped into the 1 bed apt and glanced round, on first view a bit of relief. It was certainly sizable and had a lovely pool view with a bit of the sea visible in the distance. However it became apparent that internally the apartment was due a major overhaul. The things I noticed which were in need of repair were; Bath stained, tiles chipped around bathroom light fixture, shower/bath taps loose and wobbly again tiles, sockets taped off with insulation tape (3), washer smelly and rusty, 1 kitchen cabinet door had door knob off and placed on worktop, fridge had no door shelves for cartons and was rusty round door, patio doors wouldn’t lock etc etc etc None of this alone (or combined) was enough to make me leave but as a whole left me feeling grubby and kind of ripped off. The pool area was the saving grace to the complex as there were plenty of sun beds available and it was in better working order. Pool bar was too pricy and only used it first day (€10 for smallish pizza). I saw absolutely no rowdy behaviour and found the varying groups using the pool to be pleasant and friendly. I think the majority of accommodation is owned and maintenance by users would be up to them. The rest which are let out really do let the complex down. If you come make your own mind up

Dirty, old, groups of lads and girls partying through the day and night, sold as a quiet place, the area is brilliant far enough from the strip but near enough to walk to it. staff mostly very unhelpful, pool was ok, Poolside staff very nice, a bit pricey but good food. headboard on the floor, enamel coming off bath, door locked and was taken off, never fixed.
