We needed to move from a B and B outside Evora and dropped into the Riviera "on spec" to see if it had a room. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. He showed us a couple of rooms - one bigger and one quieter - and have us a good price for three days. It is very central, between...

This is a very comfortable hotel situated right in the middle of the old town. The cathedral and main plaza are in easy walking distance. The included breakfast features a buffet selection of cereal, pastries , bread, ham and cheese. Tea and coffee is also provided. Rooms are large and well furnished.

This was a hotel we found late in the day, and thought it was a good location as very central. However this meant it was also quite noisy with students late into the night. The bathroom floor was covered in black hairs when we arrived - disgusting. The room smelt damp and someone had been smoking on the corridor outside....

Well maintained and clean hotel located in one of the small streets in the center of the city. Parking costs €10 per day, parking is near the church nearby People at reception were friendly with reasonable understanding of English. Rooms were clean and well decorated, although the bathroom in our room would have needed refurbishing. Would strongly recommend for 1...

Trip advisor does not give all the options for classifying my stay. I chose "solo" but I was actually part of a bicycle tour. If you happen to visit Evora, you'll probably see the Bone Chapel, one of the creepiest places on earth. Hence the title of my review. It has the minimal requirements- a room, a bed, bath and...

We booked this hotel since our other reservation had a mix-up and we were without a place to stay. We stayed on the top floor, which had lovely vaulted ceilings. The wi-fi in the room was hit or miss, but generally acceptable. The parking can be difficult, since there are only a couple of spots near the hotel. Also, as...

The location is very central which is great if you use their parking. Otherwise you may find wheeling a case over the cobbles a trial. Staff are very helpful, the rooms and breakfast typical 3 star. If you can try to get a room that doesn't face the street as it can be quite noisy - people not traffic.

Very small rooms in a center village hotel. If you are schlepping your own bag, this will also be a place from hell with the cobbled stone entrance and the skinny stairs (no elevator!). The place is clean enough, and breakfast was only barely passable. I would not stay here again if in Evora. There has to be something else...

We made an impulse decision to visit Evora and made a hurried booking via the internet, choosing Hotel Riviera largely because of the parking available with the hotel. We were very happy with the central location and satisfied with the accommodation it offered; everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was up many, many stairs but the...
