The Hotel Solar de Monfalim is a wonderful, warm place to stay in the very heart of the historic district of Evora. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, especially Carmen, who showed us how to make beautiful rugs in the traditional way her grandmother taught her. Both of the rooms we stayed in (two separate visits) were lovely, comfortable and...

The room was comfortable, with an exquisite bed, the staff amazingly nice and the whole feel of the hotel was appealing to me, in a vintage way. It has a nice outdoors area where you can hang out, as well as an inside family room with a fireplace, for the colder days. It is close to Praça do Giraldo, the...

Rustic accommodations within the walled city of Evora made for a great stay for our family of five. Very affordable with a friendly and accommodating staff, highly recommend this stately and unique property. There is free parking outside the city walls (15 min walk) or you can park in front for about 8 Euros a day (have to feed meter...

As they say, it's a very old property which has all the unique and funky things we miss in modern accommodations. The staff were all extremely helpful and professional, breakfast fine, hot water and water pressure for days, our room was possibly the quietest of any place out of a two week trip in Portugal. Everything in Evora is in...

One always has to remember that "you get what you pay for". This is an inexpensive hotel compared to several others nearby. It is a tired hotel. Room was very small, towels are rough, 50% of light bulbs are burned out, bed was too hard for my taste and the breakfast was very meager compared to other places we have...

Hotel Solar de Monfalim is located near the center and main cathedral and is easy walking distance from all the main attractions in Evora. The breakfast is good, and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is located in the former home of a noble from the 16th century.

We had not only a great visit to Evora...which we completely loved..but also had a very nice stay at this hotel. It is very centrally located in the center of the old town, and is the oldest hotel in town, which means for me it was full of character. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed...

The hotel is inside the old town, close to the historical landmarks. The staff is great and the old building is very nice. We were traveling with a small kid and the crib they provided was nice. It would have been better if we knew about the rear entrance from the first day, because then we would not have to...

We picked this hotel as it was inside the walls of the old city and we needed a base for looking at megalithic monuments in the area about Evora. It was a good choice for us. We stayed on the second floor. This is not a new hotel, but it makes up for its age with excellent helpful staff. It...

Very nice staff and the terrace and common area very clean and beautiful. Rooms are a disappointment and parse smelling of bleach. Parking non-existent so pack light as you need to carry all your bags from afar.
