Glencairn Inn is a lovely Inn. Historic, private and Immaculate! We took a getaway weekend and we were so impressed. Lydia the innkeeper is so Pleasant and an incredible chef! Our breakfast Was outstanding! I highly recommend Glencairn Inn. It certainly turned our work stress into a happy and peaceful feeling!
I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Inn at Glencairn! My mom and I came planning to stay two nights, but ended up staying for three! We were treated like family from the moment we walked in. The inn is a beautiful and well-preserved building with simple, comfortable rooms. There is free coffee, tea, and wine out at all times. Breakfast is varied and delightful. You order it the night before from a rotating menu. We had delicious yogurt, fruit and granola bowls each morning, which came with fresh-baked, buttery scones. The inn's manager was extremely friendly and accommodating, and even managed to move around some work that was scheduled in the building so that we could stay in our room an extra night! The inn is located right along a major road about 3 miles from Princeton center, which was convenient for us as we visited the university and surrounded areas. We look forward to staying here again the next time we are in Princeton!…
My stay was so wonderful and comfortable I look forward to returning this Fall. I'm a history buff, so the story behind the home really enticed my visit. I had the perfect room, the perfect sleep, the sweetest strawberries, and mouth watering chocolate chip cookies. Breakfast was home made, complete with great conversation from other house guests. If you desire a relaxing stay, comfy bed, wonderful hospitality, and a cute town to stroll around STAY here and enjoy Princeton.
We chose the Inn and Glencairn on a whim and couldn't have made a better choice. From our beautiful room, to the welcoming common areas, the lovely grounds, and the amazing breakfast, we had an ideal visit from start to finish. We recommend it highly and are looking forward to a return visit someday soon, we hope!
My parents and I had two rooms at the Inn at Glencairn for a graduation weekend. It was the perfect place to start and end a few busy days . . . and even sneak in a mid-afternoon nap. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and immaculate. I ended up with the suite as it was the last room left. The second room with twin beds would be perfect for a family with 1-2 kids. We were there on an exceptionally hot weekend and the A/C was delightfully cool, which was unexpected for an older house! Hands down the best parts of the Inn at Glencairn are the host, Lydia, and her delicious full breakfast. It's lovely to be able to start the day with a hot meal right downstairs that is prepared expertly and with care. We will definitely be back for future stays!
