Landed on the 21st august, transfer was 1hr15, arrived at around 2am to a warm welcome, bar was open for drinks, And there was snacks available.
We had a family connection room which was great, it was a 2bed apartment with bathroom and fridge in between the rooms.
After reading the negative reviews about cleanliness I was apprehensive, but on being here the full week I have seen the total opposite, rooms were spotless, pool and area spotless, staff constantly going around collecting cups and rubbish, and when we did see a child be sick it was cleaned up straight away.
Food is delicious although could get abit monotonous , different every night on the main options , pool bar does the same snacks, roast chicken, burgers, nuggets, spaghetti, bolognaise, salads, pancakes, waffles, pizza. You can get ice cream all day and all the drinks/cocktails were lovely.
Waterpark is brilliant and there are lifeguards everywhere and are great with the kids, often using Google translate lol.
Animation team were fab, especially mado and Raf! very welcoming and great with the kids, my boys enjoyed the water polo, darts, football. they also did the zip line and high ropes (€12 each).
Night entertainment was good, younger kids will enjoy with all dancing on stage and then the night shows start at 10. We saw an acrobatic show, fire and LED show, African acrobatics, Colombian dancers and there was also a white party/ foam party which was amazing.

We went on the jeep safari which was a fantastic trip. You get taken to Didim, when u get on the jeeps and have water fights with the other jeeps along the way. We had 3 stops, one at a restaurant to use a pool, next to a restaurant for lunch and then to a beach for a swim. Definitely a must!

The beach is the only negative about this place, it is like fine gravel, although I did find a sandy bit near to the water sports. There is a pontoon so you don’t have to walk over the rocks to get in the sea though so that was good. There isn’t anywhere close nice to have a walk to outside the complex either.

We would definitely come back without hesitation.

We visited the Long Beach Nature Reserve for 7 days 10th -17th August for a family holiday with a 9 and 15 year old, travelling from the UK. After reading some recent poor reviews related to certain parts of the holiday experience I was slightly concerned about what to expect but we had a great time and thought it would be useful to provide my take on the holiday.
Private transfer circa 1 hour and seamless.
The family room was good, well air conditioned. two rooms separated by a small entrance, shared bathroom, balcony with views of the water park and sea.
For anyone who doesn't know where Turkey is, it borders Greece, Bulgaria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, with Iran, Iraq and Syria to the East. This resort is in the South West of Turkey and had a very safe atmosphere.
To travel to it you fly you by many other European countries . It is Internationally based and as such has a wide range of International guests. It should not be a surprise to UK visitors that there are other nationalities here and they should expect related cultural differences, we are not the only nation that likes to go on holiday.
The food and drinks were very good, varied, lots of different places to eat just as listed in their marketing. It tailors well to all its International guests, including all the expected language barriers, quite a hard challenge.
Bottled water was available everywhere.
All the staff worked very hard, the animation team and life guards were truly amazing: attentive, friendly, engaging and couldn't be faulted.
Water park, sports, entertainment, beach front location, views, local village, other activities all superb and as stated.
Playing water polo and beach volleyball with all the different nationalities with some friendly competitive team bonding was a real thrill.
I would be surprised if there are any genuine hygiene issues, cleaning was constant, the food was fresh and you could see them testing the pool waters regularly.
As for its 5 star rating this is open to debate but at today's prices it certainly wasn't priced as one and was great value. There is no real difference between a 4 / 5 star hotel unless you start to pay the silly money.
The children loved the place and for a family holiday with two active children, that is paramount to our own adult experience.
Some times the music was a bit loud for me by hey ho, I'm not as young as I once was and the place had enough areas if you needed some tranquillity.

We had a super family holiday here at the beginning of July. We arrived very late at night and were welcomed graciously and were even offered dinner at midnight! We declined, but appreciated the gesture. The room had a fridge stocked with complementary drinks and an electric kettle with a wide variety of tea bags. Our rooms were well-appointed. The only small niggles with the room were that the kids found the mezzanine quite warm for sleeping (the air conditioning didn't blow that high) and I found the mattress on the large bed too firm for a good night's sleep.

We loved the fresh pool towels every day and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. My little girl was sick in a public area and I was amazed at how quickly we were helped in cleaning up. It made a distressing moment much easier.

My son loved the water slides and my daughter loved the tree rope course. The main pool was beautiful, and much larger than I expected from the photos. We enjoyed a couple of evening shows, but found that the evening entertainment wasn't advertised ahead of time; we never knew what we were going to see. The hotel was very busy, but that's to be expected in July; as busy as it was, it wasn't noisy late at night, as it was mostly families there.

Would definitely visit again, perhaps at a slightly cooler time of year.

We are a family of four from Manchester here at the moment.

Positives
Very safe for kids
Excellent lifeguards
Big splash park with decent slides for kids and tipping bucket.
Water park with 10 slides, really fun for kids and adults too!
Kids club good activities
Good rides for small kids that are free to use at certain times of the day and Eve
Evening entertainment ok
Grounds are cleaned and rubbish taken regularly around pool areas etc
Food is decent although can be repetitive but lots of choice. Lovely salads and chips. Nice local stews and vegetables .
Pool bar food- nuggets, pizza, fresh chicken kebab, burgers etc
Drinks ok branded fizzy drinks, local beer, selection of cocktails, wine, bottled water everywhere
Animation team very friendly and great with kids.
Air con in rooms excellent
Once a week they have an inflatable course in the pool which my kids loved and was well organised and safe for even the youngest of kids.
There was a lot going on at the pool and the music was very loud during the day (we enjoyed this) but I can see why others who wanted to relax might not.

Negatives
Rooms are not up to scratch. Standard room is not big enough for a family of four.
Standard room very small and needs renovating.
Balconies are very small.
Reception staff not friendly and don’t speak much English.
Arrived at night and room hadn’t been cleaned properly but this was rectified in the morning and after that was cleaned with fresh towels daily.
We were also unlucky to get a room that looked onto a building site.
We complained about the standard of the room to the hotel and Jet 2 and they blamed each other!

To summarise
This is a hotel for families that has a lively pool scene and lots for kids to do. Our kids absolutely loved their time here ! If you stay here make sure that you check carefully which room you are paying for and upgrade to a family room (standard is just not fit for purpose). We felt our kids were very safe here and were impressed with the animation staff and lifeguards. We would only come back if we had a better room and got a cheap deal.

Just returned from a weeks holiday as a family of 6. I must say this hotel is fab for kids of all ages the entertainment is amazing and the animation team absolutely make this hotel and made our whole experience even better! They work so hard to keep guests happy and it showed so a massive thankyou to them, they have live shows every night too! The hotel is great in terms of pool areas with water parks on site and also access to the hotels private beach all you need in 1 place. There is a zip line across the pool which the kids loved aswell as the adventure park with climbing activities which kept the kids entertained at any hour! These activities are a small extra charge but this was not an issue for us.
The bar staff and reception staff were very friendly and every night at dinner one waiter (older gentleman with glasses who worked in the childrens area) would make such a fuss of us and always remember our drinks order and have them ready on our table. He really stood out and was so lovely!
The hotel is let down by their reception staff they were not very friendly on check in we arrived after midnight and we are one family with 2 rooms on the same booking and placed us in two different areas of the hotel. I appreciate they can’t guarantee but did email ahead to try be as close as possible and had no response and I tried to explain one room was for the remaining children (if it was adults in the other room we wouldn’t have been as fussed) and didn’t want them on their own but nothing that could be done. When we finally got checked in our room for 2 adults and 1 child this was not cleaned correctly or had the 3rd bed made for our 8 year old daughter so I had to go back to reception again by this time was 1am and they sent someone to make a bed up however he didn’t understand English and had to keep google translating via phones so he could understand (this is not his fault but I would have thought staff may have some basic understanding) by the time we managed to get sorted was 2am so the whole check in experience was not good at all being honest!!
Food was very repetitive and seem to cater more for European guests than English so could be improved with more variety, however there is a separate children’s buffet which was great for our children as they seemed to like something on this menu rather than the main menu but again this was the same food every night so their go to spaghetti bolognaise.
All in all we would recommend the hotel if like us you have a large family all different ages as guaranteed you will definitely find something for them all to be entertained here!

We had a private transfer from the airport to the hotel which took about 55 minutes, the lovely driver even stopped to buy us some drinks for the journey. Upon entering the reception area around 11pm, impressions were good but unfortunately we were not offered any drinks or food. After being shown to our room, we had to go back to reception to ask for some food so the bell boy took us to an area (the snack bar) and left us but they had run out of food so we had no food after a very long journey!

The water slides and pools were amazing, the food was lovely for the adults but my children who are 11 and 9 struggled to find anything they liked, they mostly lived on bread and pasta with some pizza at the snack bar most or the time.

The zip wire and high ropes were great (although these were added expense) and there were some fair ground rides for younger children. We felt that they could have had a mini golf course near the fair ground rides and also some arcade games for the teenagers (a great place for these could be in the patisserie area).

The life guards were amazing and lots of them around the pools, the hotel also has security guards by the gates to the beach area but anyone could still easily walk in without being challenged. The beach and sea were lovely but the surrounding town was very tired and run down so we felt like we could not go out of the hotel.

The evening entertainment was a little hit and miss and repetitive especially the kids disco being the same songs every evening!

The photographers were extremely annoying as they would walk around twice a day every day and try and rope you in to get your photo taken, this hassle is not what I wanted on holiday.

The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds although the rooms are quite small and the air con broke a few times. Shame there was no living room space to relax in, just a bedroom.

My husband got ill on the last night with very bad tummy cramps which was a case of poor hygiene and cleaning control around the hotel/pool.

Overall, we had a lovely holiday and felt safe for our children to go off and play on the waterslides but I don't think I would return as there are other hotels in turkey that offer more of the 5* service with more activities for the children to do.

I would rate this hotel a 4 star.

Lovely family holiday at Long Beach with our children (11&13) and my mum & nan (86)
The food was great with lots of variety. A bit busy at the evening buffet but the views of the sea if you sit outside are beautiful. The waiters are very helpful and friendly. Our kids preferred the food at the snack bar especially the pizza. The ice creams were delicious.
Staff are constantly cleaning the floors and tables especially in the restaurant/snack bar
Cocktails are lovely and animation team super energetic
The slides are brilliant- life guards also very attentive. Our kids loved snorkelling in the sea which is gorgeous. The beach is stony. You do have to get up early to nab a decent sunbed and even earlier for a hammock (they are worth it though).
The shop onsite is expensive compared to local shops but has some nice things.
We saw a couple of evening shows which were good but you have to sit through the kids entertainment to get a decent seat (it’s full by 10pm) so we preferred to sit by the pool bar which played music.
Lots of cats in the hotel which we loved, one had kittens - adorable. There are dogs on the beach which are no bother and security guards keep them out of the hotel.
It’s a short walk along the beach to a little harbour. We did a boat trip (Nerissa) which was amazing and great value for money. We also did a water sport on the beach right next to hotel (speed boat pulled us on a big float) was brilliant fun. The hotel organised a taxi to a market for us which has to be done.
The lady at reception - Funda (organised the Al la carte restaurant) was AMAZING! So genuinely caring and helpful. She really looked after my nan…provided a wheelchair to get around site and send wine & fruit to our rooms. A lovely lady!!
Overall a brilliant summer holiday. Thank you Long Beach xx

Overall a great holiday for a family of 5. 10yo, 7yo & 4yo. Positives: amazing on site water park with slides suitable for all ages. Direct access to private beach. Free kids funfair on site. Additional charge water sports on beach and additional charge treetop walkway on site. Great selection of food to cater for most tastes. Regular theme nights in restaurant. Attentive waiters and bar staff. Great set up in the family rooms. Best positive was being offered a free late check out for no reason at all. Great customer service from the front desk. Negatives: albeit its advertised as daily maid service all that was really done is towels changed and beds made. Floors were not even swept and by the end of the week bathroom was a state as shower drainage clogged. When we arrived in the room the glass balcony door had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. We went end of season so think maintenance was also being run down lots of lights not repaired and screen doors damaged. Cutlery and crockery was often still dirty, I am guessing their dishwasher needs maintenance. Kids club was a complete let down. Staff (2 girls) were not interested. Simply no interaction with kids and no supervision. Young kids could do what they want and wander out the door. Jigsaws and toys were broken or pieces missing. Kids abandoned to do as they please no organised games or activities. Same girls manned the funfair rides and let children go so wild on the rides it was a danger to others. The waiting staff and adult entertainers were more engaged with the kids than the kids entertainers. No life guard or supervision at pirate Island which was turned off between 12.30 and 2pm daily which makes no sense as no staff cover anyway? The hotel is in a bay at the foot of hills so catches a lot of shade and wind in October. It may be ideal in high season but could be chilly at times in October.

Felt compelled to write this as proor to coming thr bad reviews made is feel uneasy.
This is a multi national hotel, its in its first season of welcoming Brits.
Transfer is around 1.15hrs, on arriving was greeted with a drink and food even though it was gone midnight.
We chose a connecting room. The rooms are in blocks, and well spaced out so you don't feel on top of one another. Our room was spacious, why would a family of 4 attempt to squeeze into a standard room then moan about the size 🤔. Some fixtures arnt of a 5 star standard, but this is turkey, and this is how we've always found things here. Beds are super comfy, air con great and excellent WiFi signal.
The pool area is cramped at times, however reserving beds then not using them is probably contributing to the problem. However we never had a problem getting loungers around the slide area and sercan helped each morning to get us shades etc.
The slides are amazing, and you'll not see your kids for hrs. The poolside staff (sercan) and the entertainment team are great and all the staff in the bar area too.
Drinks are fine, typical all inclusive, and plenty of choice (iced coffee, prosecco, cocktails etc).
The food is great for us, lots of choice, the salad bar is amazing and I feel its very clean and tidy, staff are always working hard to keep on top of the flow. Theres a snack bar which is great around the poolside and a lady making pide's fresh until 5pm. There's even fresh lockma early evening and a patisserie. I really can't understand people saying its repetitive, weve been here for a week and have had a different meal each night including sushi.
I've used the gym and spa, good facilities and would recommend the bali massage.
Akbuk is a cute little village, we visited for drinks one night and to the local Market. Its extremely cheap. We did a boat trip on the onka06, excellent day out with lunch for £100 for 9 of us!
Id recommend this hotel for a family holiday, and would safely say its 4 star.
Thank you to everyone of the staff, they make this hotel with their smiles and kind nature.

Family - four adults, 1 child (5) and a baby
The venue was very nice, the room was a double twin room, a large double bed, with lots of pillow and a second room with 2 singles and pillows. The room was nicely decorated, with plenty of room for clothe ect. Fridge, TV only a few English speaking channels. Good shower room (no bath) but very nice shower. Balcany to sit on, looking over the car park, however we did not specify a sea or pool view, but there are many good balcany views.

Pool Area
The pools are great, the main pool is large the water is nice and warm not salty, plenty of sunbeds and there is no rush in the morning to grab one, have breakfast and then collect your towel from the spa and sit by the pool simple. There are lifeguards pool side all day. There are showers and toilets and pool bars, its a nice area. The slide pools are great to, the kids pool with many slides is great fun ( with life guards) kids and adults can use the slides brilliant. The large slides and great fun too, some you slide down on large rubber rings and others just on your bum! all good fun.

Food
This may be a grey area because we are all different. For me and my family the food was very good, very well presented and cooked. However I found the food not to my taste, I did miss my bacon, sausage and there was no steaks. Plenty of chicken, lamb and fish, which was nice. The kids menu was the same each day mainly spagbol, rice or dried chicken nuggets and chips and plenty of salad and bread. Drinks are plenty all day no issues there, a really good thing is the are fridges all over the place filled with bottled water, so you never go short of botted water. There are themed nights on the evening dinning Turkey, Mexico and Chinese to mix it up, which was nice.

Entertainment
This was a highlight of the holiday, really good quality show every night.
Without going into to much detail very varied show that will entertain you.
The staff are very good always willing to help and so friendly, they are all a credit to the long beach site. The cleaners are always on hand to clean the room everyday. Just brilliant

The only negatives.
The beach is a bit of a let down for me, its not sand, its more a gravel sand rock, however the water is nice and warm.
The shop on site is a bit expensive, if you need and stuff take a walk down the town its not that far about 15mins and a lot cheaper
The pick up time for the return flight is about 7pm which is fine if you dont want anything at the duty free, becuase by the time you get to the airport you have about 30mins to catch your flight. Really could do with leaving the complex more like 6pm, which would give you a bit more time to shop at duty free.

A great holiday would recommend this place to one thinking about a visit.
