B&B Avondrust is about a 10 minute walk from the Ipres train stop (20 minute walk to city center). I stayed for two nights in November, 2015, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Joos and Vera, your hosts, are two of the nicest people you'll meet. As an American not having travelled extensively in Europe, I was a bit apprehensive...

This is a little gem once you find it. (You have to take the road to Dikkebus and then turn left just by the Siemens sign). Vera and Joos are friendly and very welcoming. The accommodation is very comfortable though you do share a bathroom. The lounge area for guests is large, with a television and DVD player, and there...

My wife and myself spend 2 nights at this B&B, Because of my medical condition I require my own room, The single rooms where adequate but the beds to small for a large man like me, One good thing that with the blackout curtain you get a nice dark room for sleeping, Its not ideal to stay there if you...

We returned to Avondrust for a 2 night stay. It is set in a very quiet area and the owners Vera & Joos have a beautiful garden. It is a little out of town and you will need directions to find it. Vera serves a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and gorgeous home made jam. The rooms are spacious...

A big thumbs up to this wonderful gem. This is a fantastic guest house and one I will be returning to I'm certain. I've stayed here now on many occasions over the past 6 years with three fellow motorcyclists and it never fails to impress. Joos and Vera are the most welcoming and accomodating of hosts and create a wonderfully...

You need the experience it words cannot describe what such a warm welcome we received. The landlord and lady could not do enough for you. As you at breakfast looking at the beautiful garden. Rite next to the cycle path it's only a short walk to Ypres. It's nice to have a personal touch when visiting Ypres. The owners were...

What can I say about Avondrust? It's wonderful! From the moment we arrived after a long 13 hour journey, we felt immediately welcome. Vera and Joos are lovely people and have done a brilliant job making their home a haven to stay in. We had the double room which has a beautiful interior and an oh so comfortable bed! I'd...

Very good for cyclists - Ter Olmen is right on the canalside path which forms part of several recommended routes, and Ieper town centre. Accommodation, welcome and breakfast are all top notch and we were able to park our tandem in the garage. Joos and Vera are keen to make sure you have all the information and directions you need...

One of the nicest and friendliest places we stayed in during our month in Europe. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone travelling and wanting to stay in leper. The hosts spoke good English, The breakfast was ample and the room clean and bright. Central Leper is approx a half hour walk or bikes are available for hire.
