Nice enough hotel with good links to Kortrijk, Brugge and Ypres. Good bar area (reasonably priced) and good breakfast. Food OK, a little generic and could have been more adventurous. Two person rooms rather cramped, and beds very close together, would have been nice to have more space
This Hotel is good but overrated. It is far from the city center and has very less options for dining out even nearby. The only advantage is that it is near to the expo. My visit was not related to expo so I found it far from the office and city center. Otherwise a good place to stay.
The hotel was stylish, modern airy and the rooms were immaculately clean and modern and the staff were friendly and helpful. This is a budget hotel and provides great value, but is well outside the town centre, but there was plenty of free onsite car parking.
First the good part, the hotel is near the motorway for a stopover, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. But the restaurant is ridiculously expensive and the service is awful. For examples starters are over €15 and main courses were high €20s - I don't mind paying this for a quality dining experience but this is in essence a motorway stopover. We ordered a vegetable wok (the only other vegetarian dish was not available) - which turned out to be a pile of lasagne with almost no vegetables. When I pointed this out to the waiter he just grunted. This Ibis certainly falls far short of the standards we have found at other Accor hotels.
17 of us over the de Ronde Sportive....sign on, start and finish in Oudenaarde so not that far away. We got our rooms for £120 for 2 nights including breakfast. Couldn't be more accommodating to cyclists. Yes they're happy for you to take your bike into your room..Yes breakfast starts at 05.30 which means you can get well fuelled before your ride...and yes when you've finished the bar is open even when the barman goes to bed. Only criticism is we had a slow draining shower...but we still got clean...which is what the rooms most definitely were...
