Really nice place, very clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and nothing it’s too much trouble. The breakfast choice is great and the breakfast omelette is really tasty. I would stay here again if I visit this location again.

I really hate giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it is hardly the personnel's fault that the hotel has lousy soundproofing. First the good stuff. Very comfortable, funky well decorated rooms, no chips, no bumps, lovely villeroy bath and hans grohe taps, lots of tv channels, really good breakfast and superbly cooked fried eggs! The reception people seem to do a bit of everything and they are extremely polite and helpful. It is probably the best 3 star hotel i have been to. I am staying in a 3 star in France tonight and it's pretty dreadful in comparison. If you are NOT a light sleeper you cannot do better than this hotel but if you are noise sensitive the lift will drive you crazy except between midnight and seven o'clock when people sleep. I was in room 70, third floor by the lift and could only change to 72 because the hotel was full, marginally further away and with the same problem. I know personnel are not owners but the owner should invest in soundproofing. I heard everything in room 71 as well!

Stayed here for two nights over Easter. Kortrijk is a lovely town with so much history and we really enjoyed our stay. The square hotel is less than ten minutes walk through a lovely park to the main square but it’s in a very quiet location. It’s clean, comfortable and modern. The staff are lovely and friendly especially the night manager who served is drinks in the little bar. The breakfast is great. Typical Belgian fare including really superb pâté. Would highly recommend

We asked for a room without carpet to minimise an allergy problem and we obtained the last available room fulfilling our request. Check-in was very rapid, not too much administration. The room was nice, clean, modern. But cold… We would suggest that before guests arrive, the heating gets slightly increased; moved up from the ”economy” position. It is difficult to set a higher temperature, after some time the systems resets on “economy” and there are only instructions in French on the airco screen. Not specifically user friendly… The breakfast room is spacy, calm and the breakfast is fine, rich enough, with choice of bread, baguettes, 'viennoiseries', fresh coffee as well as on the spot prepared eggs, as you prefer them. There is nice background music, bringing some calm over the space.

Booked a standard room, incl breakfast for 3 nights. Its a bit of a hike from the railway station but doable and certainly easier without bags on day trip to Ieper. We received a very informed welcome, a map and 2 subsequent considered recommendations for restaurants, which we really enjoyed. There is a lift serving all floors. We were allocated Room 54 on the first floor. There is a drink dispenser on our floor. Our room is an average size with an extra single bed in it. There is a small desk and 2 upright chairs. A tv and the wifi is free, fast and reliable. The air con is effective and whisper quiet. Our windows overlooked the street but it was very quiet and we slept well. The ensuite has a shower over the bath and enough room to store our own toilettries. Everything is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is held on the ground floor behind the bar between 7-11. A nice selection of good quality items incl yogurts, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, cold meats breads and pastries. There is the offer of freshly cooked eggs. A great coffee machine delivering good coffee. We enjoyed the music at breakfast time too. The city of Kortrijk is easily walkable and the hotel well located for enjoying the city. Diagonally opposite is a nice park. We enjoyed our time at Square Hotel, considering it excellent value for money. We recommend staying here.
