I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Location is good, in a quite area but very close to the train station and the city center (around 10 min from the train station). Steffi is really kind and professional. Super super breakfast!!! Fresh products and wide variety, loved it! My room was really nice and clean, as also the common area. There is no door between the bathroom and the room but for me it was ok as I was alone. Two points I think can be improved: - I didn't find the bed and the pillow very comfortable; -during my stay the weather was super hot...windows didn't have net so I didn't want to keep it open during the night to avoid mosquitos or other insect coming inside..the only option to cool down was a fan but it was noisy in my opinion so prefer not to use it. Good price. I am satisfied I chose this accomodation.…
I didn't ask, but I bet the lady who cooks the eggs for breakfast also is the owner. This is not a sterile, professional hotel that's part of a global chain. It's has the atmosphere of a privately run place, where you can see the style of the people who run it in every aspect. Handwritten invoice. Good breakfast, not perfect but prepared with love and personal attention. A room that's not dirty but also not perfectly clean. A dog lying in the hall. You could rate it a 2 if you want it all to be perfect. You can rate it a 5 if you primarily appreciate the personal approach of the people who run this place. For me it's a 4. Note: many stairs, wooden floors (little noisy)
My first visit to Kortrijk and stayed at this gem of a Hotel, located close walking distance (5min) to the city centre in a very quite location. The staff are very friendly but the Breakfast is amazing, bountiful, different variety and always plentiful. The room was perfect size and had all the facilities needed, just one thing it could of had a safe but this is a minor blemish on an otherwise great hotel. Highly recommend this hotel and will use it in the future!
I stayed just one night, and don't think I could have chosen a nicer place to stay, especially for the price - Excellent value for money! Situated in a quite residential area, but still just a very short walk to the town centre. Rooms are decorated beautifully. not the most spacious of rooms, and you do need to be comfortable with your travelling partner as there isn't a lot of privacy between the room and the bathroom, however for me this wasn't an issue at all. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast - TBH I didn't actually realise I had breakfast included in my room rate, but WOW - what a breakfast it was - worth staying just for that alone!
We had a wonderful overnight stop here. The hotel is in a leafy, quiet suburb only a short walk from the centre. The parking is easy and the welcome was friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable and well furnished and the breakfast was beyond description. We came down to a beautifully laid table with a sherry glass full of apple and melon juice, draped with a sprig of redcurrants; a glass of orange juice and a basket of breads, we had a glass of red fruits with yoghurt and a delicious selection of nuts and fruits to stir in as we wished; also plates of cheeses and of meats. Before we had time to take all this in, we were presented with small, individual omlettes with a slither of pancetta in the middle. Dishes kept appearing after that - We've never had such an amazing breakfast. We actually took the wrong room - my fault - and the room we did have had a toilet in an alcove facing the bed (even for a married couple of 40 years, this is not a good thing!); however, the decor is lovely, the bed very comfortable and the staff excellent. There an beautiful garden at the back of the hotel and we could imagine having breakfast outside in better weather - although it was wonderful just to stroll around to walk off a tiny bit of our sumptuous feast! We would stay here again.…
