Great location, lovely hotel , really high quality decor throughout. Our only criticism was very slow service in the bar on two occasions one which led us to leave and go elsewhere. A pity but it would not stop us using the hotel on our next visit

We were greeted by friendly employees that made it a pleasure to check-in (and out). The location is perfect and very central. Rooms are great (we got an upgrade to Deluxe rooms) and the bar/breakfast were great too. It is not easy to implement safety measures for COVID-19 but they did it very well and it is not too intrusive. In short, we'll be back !

Excellent location in the centre but off the tourist piste as some other nice hotels in Brugge. Modern and easy to access underground parking (good size even for S class), very cozy inner garden with a nice bar, some rooms just recently refurbished, all air conditioned, good internet and reasonable breakfast make this hotel an option even for a spoiled traveller or even a family. Yes, fitness and SPA facilities are on site as well. Very solid clientele, calm atmosphere and stone throw away from the main square. Improvement areas: some rooms in the old building are quite dark, plus sound protection from the corridor is poor, not an easy option for handicapped people as you constantly face the stairs starting from the parking down to the last meters before you hit the room (a few Interconnected buildings with different floor levels). We stayed in the family duplex, which was dark and had only one toilet on the upper level... Floor plates were so noisy that you can't walk into the WC without waking up the lot. So probably makes more sense to book two nearby rooms instead, especially facing the inner garden. Staff was OKish, not super friendly but not arrogant. Managed even to get a table in the restaurant despite the fact it was completely booked... Overall: viable option for Brugge or even instead of staying in poorly run coast hotels as Knokke is just 20 minutes away. But: book the right room :)

Classic luxury but the ratio price/quality a bit stretched. House keeping staff decided on their own to hang up/re-use towels we left on the floor!! Must not happen in such a hotel. Positive that we could keep the parking for the rest of the check out day.

Stayed here for 5 days. The staff are pleasant enough and the rooms are large and spacious. Beware though that the lower floor rooms have a view of a shabby roof which could be easily fixed with some green screening. We did ask to change but we were shown a room a couple of floors above that still overlooked the same roof but had no bath. There is no milk provided just creamer and the towels are thin and have threads hanging from them. In the hallway there are some shabby areas where wallpaper has been scrapped. The rooms are nicely decorated at the standard of Hilton or similar chain hotel. The breakfast was disappointing with no table service apart from coffee so the hot offering was over cooked eggs and if you wanted sausage and bacon it came on a bed of omelette type egg served in a bowl. The pastries and coffee were lovely though. A warning that the restaurant and bar are very over priced. We had croque monsieur in the bar and it was served in a bowel with no attempt to make it look nice with side salad or crisps. We had the restaurant booked and were prepared for high prices but we left when we were told that if we wanted water we had to have bottled. Personally I think this is a rip off and if you are going to charge such high prices why do you need to be so petty about serving tap water. There are some lovely restaurants in Brugge and we found Couvert which is lovely. In summary, this hotel does not live up to its five star superior rating and there are better four star hotels locally where you will get better value for money.

Dear guest, Thank you for your sharing you experience with us. We are surprised to read that you felt let down by some aspects of the hotel. Since the hotel is located in the historically city centre, it is true that some rooms do not have any particular vue. This is why we do offer city views or garden views give a small supplement. Please rest re-assured that all rooms, regardless of the view, are identical. With regards to the complementary coffee & tea facilities in the room, we indeed have creamers - but will bring you milk upon request. At last, it is common practice in Belgium to pay for bottled water. Tap water is not served when having a meal in a establishment; unlike in other countries. Since guest satisfaction is our primary concern, we'd ask you to contact us directly for a future stay, in order to make sure to live up to your expectations. Wishing you a lovely day. Kind regards, Hotel Dukes' Palace
