We were two couples, one from the UK with a car and the other from Australia. The hotel claims to be the only 5 star one in Bruges and we certainly enjoyed everything about our stay there. The staff were excellent, the food was very good, the building lovely and the position in the old town perfect. The availability of... More

This hotel is fantastic! It is a lovely, historic building within a few minutes' walk of the historic Markt square. Our room, which was basic for the facility, was large, and had a gorgeous view of the garden. We would open the windows every evening to listen to the church bells ring. Breakfast here is amazing--everything you can imagine, and... More

Although the staff were really pleasant and the food was good, we encountered a few things that we did not like. 1. We were on Business and asked for a wake up call the next morning. We never got it. 2. Reception Area of Hotel smelt badly of drains and sewage. Really revolting to be honest. 3. The Room was... More

We couldn't have had a more central hotel for the historic square literally three minutes walk. Tucked away off one of the main cobbled shopping streets. Lovely room overlooking their gardens. Stayed for two nights whilst visiting by motorcycle. They have their own underground secure car park. Breakfast amazing Cava plus the biggest slabs of white, Milk and dark chocolate... More

Our stay at the Hotel Duke's Palace was amazing. A bit pricey, it was definitely a "splurge" for us, but well worth it. Pros: Location - extremely central to Brugge, just a 3-5 minute walk from the Markt square. The whole city is extremely walkable from the front doorstep. Also, the best wafflestand in the city (Ooya) is right across... More

This hotel is stunning! We had a lovely time here. We stayed as a family in a family garden suite. The rooms were lovely. Breakfast was fab. Loads of choice and even a glass of cava and some chocolate for breakfast! Yum. The only real negative was that we were given bottles of water on our first evening and we... More

The Duke Hotel was great and if you go early in the week it is a reasonable cost. The steam room is a big plus (especially as it rained quite a bit when we were there), the breakfasts massive but you can eat as healthily and interestingly as you want. The building has real history too, though the photocopied notes... More

This hotel lives up to its 5 star rating and probably exceeds it. The hotel is beautiful, with numerous anterooms which reflect the buildings history. The bedrooms were large and fitted with all the usual facilities but at the higher end of the scale. We travelled as three couples, one couple who were visiting from Australia. All six of us... Our one night stay in July 2016 was an amazing experience. We were travelling with our son and 13 year old granddaughter so had reserved two rooms. We were given an upgrade to a Jr Suite with rooms next to each other in the castle section. Upon arrival we were met with genuine friendly helpful staff. It was a warm... More
