Lovely atmospheric hotel with spacious rooms in the center of Bruzze (everything is near by as far as the touristic sights) , with very friendly staff always willing to answer any question you may have or anything else. Definitely a recommendation!!

A stunning hotel, sneed a palace, a bit from old times. Rather a 4 stars though. Littlest details in the rooms, like missing bathrobes and aged carpets, a poor spa (weird odors in the steam bath) , the restaurant is partly excellent (meat and entrees) .. their cheese choice is though very poor and low quality, the breakfast buffet is very good. All was m all a 4 stars but not 5, reason for my poor rating.

Well after debating to travel to Bruges during the covid crisis we are so happy that we did. This hotel is simply stunning and made our stay so much better and out our minds to rest. We want to thank the Scottish member of staff (we didn’t get your name sorry) in the bar was was amazing. Also a big thanks to Wouter on the front desk, a pure gentleman and we wish you all the best for the future. The only one problem we had was on our final night we visited the bar and was asked to produce proof that we were staying at the hotel. We did, we then noticed about 10 other guests come in and not once did they get asked to produce proof. We were casually dressed so this may have played a factor but to the waiter who asked us for proof, a little advice…. Take a leaf out of our Scottish friends book, he will teach you a lot. He noticed the Rolex Daytona on my wrist and looked after us ;)

I needed to go the town of Brugge for a business appointment and I decided to stay a night. I looked on the internet and found quickly the Duke’s Palace and booked a suite, because they had a private underground parking, which is very convenient in a town like Brugge and is situated really in the centre, on a walking distance from the most sightseeing’s places. On arrival, I parked my car and went to the reception. There is a direct access from the parking to the hotel. There is no elevator, but you can ask for help for your luggage if necessary. The hotel is a former palace used by the rulers of Brugge and the Low Countries. So, it is an historical building. At the reception, I was welcomed by a very professional and extremely friendly staff. Before checking in, my covid safe ticket was controlled, so I didn’t need to wear a face mask on the premises. I got my room and was guided to it by a member of staff. It was a large room, with a seating area all in ancient style with very high ceilings. There was a huge closet build in the 19th or even the 18th century and reaching nearly to the ceiling, containing a safe and all necessary paraphernalia. There was also a superb modern bathroom: large bath, large walk in shower… The room had a fantastic view on the large garden. The room was very clean and treated due the COVID19 rules. I had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. I choose the set menu consisting of scallops and belly bacon, followed by Nordic lobster and pheasant as main course. Very fine dining, with a very friendly and helpful staff. This five stars hotel (the only one in Flanders) is a really good place to stay if you want luxury, quietness and an extremely friendly, multilingual and professional staff.
