We thought our host was the best host we’ve ever encountered in our many years of travelling. Lynne went above and beyond any expectations of a host in such a beautiful guest house. This was five star excellence at its best. Attention to detail is an understatement. We felt like a member of the family. And we will 100% return! Love from Mr & Mrs Buckley, Dublin x

Had a fabulous weekend at this charming boutique guesthouse. Everything about the establishment was fantastic. Lyne, the owner, was welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The bedrooms were delightful as was the cosy lounge / breakfast area. On arrival we were offered champagne and given a very comprehensive introduction to Bruges with recommendations of places to visit. The breakfast was delicious - fresh fruit, plenty of pastries, cheese and a delicious cooked breakfast all topped off with a glass of champagne! The guest house was in a great location with everything close at hand ie shops, tourist attractions and excellent restaurants - all within a short walking distance. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful place to stay - I'll certainly be returning on my next trip to Bruges.

The hotel is beautiful. There are only three bedroom suites. One faces the canal. The beautiful dining room where you are served a magnificent breakfast is also facing the canal. Lyne’s attention to detail is superb. Bonifacius is magnificent and perfectly located - you have to come.

A wonderful setting and outstanding host made this trip very special for us. Faultless in every respect. Lynne provides helpful advice about local restaurants, shops and places to visit. The breakfast room and seating area are to die for, right beside the canal with lovely fireplace and antique furniture. The rooms are big and well furnished and most atmospheric, just like Brugge itself!

We stayed in the master suite at Guesthouse Bonifacius. What a stunning view from the rooftop terrace! What comfort in our large room, decorated with antiques, period windows that open out to views of swans drifting by serenely in the canal below. The bed was very comfortable, the master bath was roomy with double sinks, whirlpool tub, separate shower and quality soaps and shampoo. Plush terry robes lay folded neatly on the padded bench at the foot of the bed. The small refrigerator held champagne, local beer and coke to help yourself to, as they came with the room. Our room also had two comfy side chairs and a table to relax in as we planned our day. Lyn, the owner, is the most welcoming, caring hostess. She greeted us and led us to a table for two overlooking the canal where she presented us with glasses of champagne and chocolate as she showed us important points on the map of Bruges which she spread before us. She gave us a number to contact her if we had questions at any time and she was there when we did happen to call once or twice in our three day stay. The breakfast is full and replete with a well rounded presentation of fruits, rolls, pastry, cheeses and sliced ham. A very nice woman ( regretfully I never got her name) would present us with a pot of tea or a coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice, before she would ask how we would like our eggs? She would bring out the freshly made scrambled eggs in a warm crueset dish with tomatoes or mushrooms or bacon mixed in depending on our request . One cool morning, Lyn lit the fireplace for us. It was so cozy! The breakfast atmosphere was so relaxing that I didn’t want to leave the table to start the day. I would gaze out the window at the swans who swam by every morning so silently and beautifully. It was like a fairytale. It really was the highlight of our trip!
